« Clean but noisy city centre flat, bedroom was smaller than expected, bathroom was lacking, (I’ll fitted toilet seat, poor water pressure) kitchen was adequate but scruffy. It was sufficient for a work trip, wouldn’t want to holiday here. »

« I left after the first night. This company won’t talk to you through any of the proper channels like VRBO website/app or phone call. I contacted them several times ahead of my stay asking about facility access and they never responded. Finally after waiting outside my location for an hour, my phone about to die with little to no internet access in a foreign country, my wife was able to get ahold of them after many many attempts. They informed her that they needed documents and such from me...

« Excellent weekend stay here. Location was convenient for the city centre, a short walk (25 mins) or a cheap Uber drive away. Property was thoroughly clean and the communication with the property management was very clear and prompt. Would definitely recommend a stay here and we will be back soon. « L'accueil dans cet hôtel qui fait aussi pub et restaurant est très chaleureux. Les chambres sont assez spacieuse et la literie confortable, même si cela semble un peu vieillot...(c'est peu être à la mode en Angleterre..?) Toutefois, pour ce tarif on y est bien mieux que dans une chaine d'hôtel style F1... Bref pour un séjour sans se ruiner sur Durham et sa région, je recommande vivement cet hôtel ! »

« The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!! Would happily stay here again when visiting the area as it’s a perfect little...
