The Stonehouse Studio is located in an historic stone building a half block off of Main Avenue in downtown Durango. You can walk to all the shops, restaurants, galleries and bars in minutes from this centrally located apartment. A king size bed, clawfoot tub and shower, and well equipped kitchen provide you with the comforts and conveniences of home. Close to mountain biking, hiking, the river and the Durango Silverton Narrow gauge railway. This property puts you close to everything Durango has to offer. (DURANGO VACATION RENTAL PERMIT #15-088) ...There is off-street parking for one medium-sized or small car.

This beautiful loft was perfect and so close to all the restaurants and coffee shops. If you have a large truck or suv, be prepared to park on the street. Bring a laptop if you want to watch your shows or just enjoy the scenery. The views are amazing and the book collection is great. We had a short 30 minute drive to Purgatory ski resort. So much to do in Durango and surrounding areas. Enjoy!

What a gem! This apartment has everything you need for a stay in Durango. Great location, lovely outdoor space, and a comfortable and stylish interior. Perfect for my solo stay but would be great for two folks too. George was communicative and does a fantastic job with his property. Highly recommend!

Location parking incredible! George was great although we never really needed him as we had no problems. We explored the area every day then in the evenings we were able to walk to restaurants and bars which is priceless. Very cute, well maintained, and VERY clean.

This cozy loft has everything you need; just perfect for a couple. The space is very well utilized with plenty of natural light and convenient plug outlets. The bed was very comfortable and the bath/shower were excellent. If you are looking for cookie sheet or a baking pan check the oven or warming drawer. We looked and looked and finally stumbled upon them. They did need to be washed. Also be aware of events in the park across the street with music. We experienced that but the music stopped at a reasonable hour so did not bother our sleep at night. The location is great for convenience to explore restaurants and shops along Main Street. Very walkable. The parking is convenient but rather tight if you have a larger SUV. We were driving a Kia Telluride. Overall, a great stay!

All bases covered, all amenities provided, location, location, location! Turns out my sister has stayed with you years ago and loved her time as much as we enjoyed ours. The washer/dryer was particularly useful and ya gotta love a/c for those hot Colorado days and nights. Thanks George! It was perfection! (Side note: Caution when opting for “mystery car” from car rental! Ours was a bright red [egad!] Dodge Ram 2500 pickup that was a beast to park and actually stuck out over the “line” in the unit’s parking space.)

Downtown Living with a Cabin Vibe

Great location...block off Main, near restaurants and shopping. Plus a River Walk accessible! Close proximity to many hikes-meadows of wildflowers and beautiful waterfalls. Outdoor space-great for grilling, having picnic, and listening to music in the park. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing property! Great location downtown. We loved hearing the train and seeing it from a few locations. The kitchen was more than adequately supplied for those that like to cook. Great art work and books. BYO TV. Can’t wait to go back!

George has created such a cozy and inviting space. It is tucked away and private with a lovely outside space to enjoy, but it is still close to all of the shops and restaurants in downtown. The grocery store and Walgreens are also an easy walk. There is so much to enjoy in Durango. This studio is such a great retreat. I look forward to coming back!
