The home was very clean and beautifully updated. We enjoyed the hot tub and grill and back deck very much. We had some minor problems and the staff assisted us quickly with those issues. It would've been perfect if the internet had worked better. We were getting less than 1 Mbps at times and found it difficult to plan our day's activities like driving directions, checking weather, etc. Also, noticed that the king bed upstairs is actually two twins put together, which is not a big deal unless you have little ones who climb into bed with you at night and you end up sinking in the middle. The place is well stocked with kitchen needs, linens and other amenities. Hot tub is clean and great after a day of hiking. Everything about this place feels well managed and well maintained. One item to note is that the wifi is not super strong. So, if your family is the type to use multiple devices (like Netflix, a computer and a phone) or planning a long rental to work remotely, we recommend contacting the company to see if any upgrades have been made. Our understanding was that the wifi was the strongest possible for this particular location. All in all though a really great spot, beautifully appointed, great location great town. The deck is the star of the show of this property. The views are amazing and there are more stars in the sky than you can count. The only downside to this property were the mouse traps set in the kitchen. This is a magical house and setting. Very private but not hard to find. We loved the deck for grilling, eating, hot tubbing and the best star gazing! Clean and well maintained home. ##### mary P. The property was nice and isolated but close enough to get to a multitude of day hikes and activities. My only note would be that the kitchen is fairly small so if you’re there with a large group it might be hard to cook for a large group. ##### Jeff S. The house was comfortable for 9 adults. My only complaint is that the internet was essentially unusable. Great place, close to Purgatory, and not far from downtown Durango. Jen and Lorie at the management company are super helpful. 4x4 is absolutely necessary to get to the house. Perfect size for our family, secluded with lots of area for our kids to roam. Hot tub is awesome... we had everything we needed. We loved it so much no one wanted to leave, all 3 of our kids cried upon departure. It is FAR up the mountain. Super close to purgatory resort but stopping to put on snow chains/take off snow chains is not a fun activity. When it was warm out our 4wd was enough but early morning, the mountain road is mostly ice...I just didn’t know how snow chains worked or the serious necessity for them (southerner 😂). When the listing says “it’s required,” it means it. ##### Michelle P. This mountain home was perfect for our family and what we look for when we go to the mountains. We like some seclusion, surrounded by pines and aspens with gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains. This home delivers exactly that. A really nice back patio and deck with hot tub and fire pit is there to enjoy the outdoors. We enjoyed playing in the snow around the house with the kids and dogs. The inside of the home is really nice as well. The kitchen is well stocked and nice to prepare meals in. There is also a Weber gas grill that is very clean for your steaks and burgers, etc. The cleanliness of the property inside and out was excellent. We also had access to the garage so we could park our vehicle inside at night and know that it’s protected and free of snow in the morning when we leave for the day. Purgatory is a 10 minute drive mostly through the beautiful back country road it’s really convenient to Purgatory. We just don’t have anything negative to say about our stay at Heavenly Daze and we highly recommend it. ##### Blake M.
