« Stayed here over Christmas whilst visiting family in Dunbar. The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed for our short stay. Great view over the harbour and beyond, from a lovely sunset one day to stormy waves crashing on the beach the next day. Really responsive communication from the hosts. »

« Such a beautiful place to stay, will absolutely come again. Very quiet, peaceful, lovely views. Plan ahead transportation - there is a cash only pre-book taxi company (£15 per ride or so) or drive in rental car. Great nearby restaurants I town. Quiet during the off season. »

« It was difficult to find the first time. Probably more my GPS fault than anything. Once arrived, I had to walk around the area to find my lodgings. GPS said "you have arrived" well, that wasn't good enough. I walked around till I found it. I slept in the twin bunk room. The bottom bunk bed was very uncomfortable. Mom slept in the queen bed and said it was very comfortable. Bring your own toiletries as they are sparsly provided. The shower floor has no slippage protection. I did mention this to...

« We live in Edinburgh but had to book somewhere to stay while we were having work done at our house and Sycamore Cottage was perfect for four of us. The bedrooms are really spacious and the kitchen is really well equipped which isn’t always the case in self catering accommodation. We didn’t think we’d need to use the log burner but a typical Scottish spring meant we used it a few nights and there was plenty of logs left for it. Easy to drive into Edinburgh or can get the train from Gorebridge....

« Facile à vivre, confortable et bien équipée, nous avons passé un merveilleux Noël joyeux et serein dans cette magnifique maison. Portobello avec sa plage, boutiques, restaurants et pubs est un lieu tout à fait charmant, à 20 mn en bus de Waverley. Notre hôte, Patrick est réactif et très aidant. Il nous tarde d'y revenir. »

« The Shore is a very cosy and comfortable one bedroom cottage/flat. It is very well-equipped, nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. It was very easy to communicate with the host and nothing was too much trouble. "Maison individuelle très confortable dans le magnifique parc du château. Cuisine très bien équipée, mais pas de produits de base : huile, sel, etc.... Machine à laver le linge. Tennis et piscine couverte et chauffée sur place, très sympa. On a pu faire une ballade à cheval."
