The best area to stay in Dubí Hora is the Old Town, particularly around the main square, for its central location and access to local points of interest.

The Old Town is the historic heart of Dubí Hora, characterised by its cobblestone streets and well-preserved medieval architecture. The main square, known as Náměstí Svornosti, is bordered by historic buildings, including the Town Hall and the Church of St. Vitus. This area is very walkable, with numerous independent shops, traditional pubs, and eateries dotted along its narrow lanes.

Couples looking for a romantic and culturally rich experience will find the Old Town particularly appealing. You'll be within easy reach of Dubí Hora Castle, which offers stunning views and guided tours, and the Egon Schiele Art Centrum. Evenings can be spent enjoying a quiet dinner at a local restaurant or a stroll along the Vltava River.

For travellers who appreciate a quieter setting but still want convenient access to the Old Town, the Latrán district, just north of the castle, is an excellent choice. This area still boasts historic buildings and winding streets but feels more residential.

The best time to go to Dubí Hora for pleasant weather and outdoor activities is generally from late spring to early autumn, specifically May through September.

During these months, the weather is typically mild and sunny, making it ideal for exploring the surrounding nature and enjoying the numerous walking and cycling trails. Temperatures are comfortable, rarely too hot, which is superb for extended periods outdoors.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate the blooming landscapes in late spring and early summer, offering picturesque backdrops for strolls and picnics. The longer daylight hours also allow for more time to explore the local villages and historical sites at a relaxed pace.

For families, the summer months of July and August are particularly good. The lakes are warm enough for swimming and watersports, and many local attractions, such as adventure parks or boat rentals, are fully operational. The ample open spaces provide children with plenty of room to play.

While autumn, particularly September, brings beautiful foliage, it can also signal the start of cooler temperatures and a higher chance of rain.
