This makes it ideal for exploring the island's natural beauty, including its dramatic cliffs, lighthouses, and coastal trails, without the discomfort of intense heat.Spring is particularly good for those hoping to see the local flora in bloom and potentially catch glimpses of migrating birds. It's also when the "Blue Tears" phenomenon, a bioluminescent algae bloom that lights up the sea at night, is most prominent, especially from April to June.Autumn offers clear skies and comfortable temperatures, great for outdoor activities like hiking to Dongyong Lighthouse or exploring the Beihai Tunnel. The seas are usually calmer, which is beneficial for ferry travel to and from the island. While summer (June to August) can be warm and humid, it's also a popular time, especially for local Taiwanese tourists, due to school holidays.
