Unter dem Baum befindet sich ein Steinkreuz. Es handelt sich um die Nr. 20 der in der Dittwarer Ortschronik beschriebenen Bildstöcke und Denkmäler (siehe: Ortschronik). Das Kreuz an den "Krautgärten" ist etwa vier Meter hoch und wurde 1872 mit der Schrift: "Zu Ehren des gekreuzigten Heilandes errichtet von Anton Holler" aufgestellt.
