It was in fact the owners home and we shared the facilities with her and her family. Not for us , we ate in the very small bedroom where the drawers and the wardrobe were full of the owner’s possessions, socks jumpers suitcases etc. not much space for our stuff. "The photographs of this property on the website do NOT do it justice - the house, the grounds, the facilities (especially the pool), its proximity to the Charente and excellent shops in Ruffec make it a perfect location for a family holiday. Although Mr Guyard was not present, he answered all of my queries promptly via email."

"Arrived to be greeted by Marie who showed us around the property, very friendly. Showed how to operate the pull cover and to contact her if any problems. The owner Henri lives in another house to the rear of the barn rental. Lovely man who would clean the pool early in the morning and check with us all ok. Would definitely stay here again, short run into Ruffec for supplies at either of the two supermarkets. Thanks for a great holiday😊"
