IMPECCABLE 4 BDR/3 BATH DESTIN HOME W/PRIVATE POOL!!

Your group will enjoy the 5 1/2 foot deep, sparkling pool that can be heated during colder months for a small fee. You will see this screened oasis as soon as you enter the home! The entire back wall is glass looking out to the pool area where fun and relaxation in the sun takes place. Just outside the screened area is a barbecue grill for preparing a tasty meal.
This home is immaculate and has been updated with new furnishings that embody a coastal flair. The open floor plan is spacious, so everyone has room to spread out. In the center of the home is the living area with a large leather sofa and club chairs for lounging, two dining areas-- one seats four and the other seats eight. The bar has stools for seating while you converse with whoever is meal prepping. The kitchen is well equipped with all new small appliances and kitchenware.
On one side of the house you have two bedrooms: the Master bedroom features a King bed, a smart TV, a huge bathroom with a double vanity, double shower and jetted tub. The front bedroom has a Queen bed and a smart TV. Each tv has Youtube TV instead of cable.
The other side of the home has a King bedroom with a smart TV that shares the hall bathroom with a shower. The kids bunk room has a twin over a full bunk bed, a smart TV and an adjoining bathroom. This home also has a huge two car garage and a laundry room. There is enough parking for four cars.

Destiny East is a gated, beach side community and has superb amenities for your group to enjoy including a community pool, fitness center, tennis and basketball courts, IMAX theatre, children's playground, outdoor grilling area, putting green & in ground pool & spa centrally located near shopping, dining & entertainment. And, of course you are a short distance to the beach!
The access is at The Crab Trap which is 7 minutes or .5 miles away.

This home also includes the benefit of complimentary amenity items from VayKGear! Choose from a menu of items! (complimentary dollar amount is determined by length of stay)

You must be at least 25 years of age to rent this property. During Spring Break , the minimum acceptable ratio is one (1) person 25 years of age for every two (2) persons under 25 years of age.

Once we realized the option to have the pool heated was available, then we were okay with the pool. The weather was unseasonably cool. The pool was okay and "private" in terms of we were the only people to use it but . . not so "private" in that there is no fencing or hedging between the neighbor's pool areas. The host cannot help that it was Spring Break and that the neighboring pools were very loud with music and loud talking. The house was beautiful and probably was the best bed I've ever tried to sleep on away from home. The neighborhood is safe and nicely maintained. The house was very clean; the host assisted when there was an issue with the entry code. The laundry area seemed very nice; we were not there long enough to need the laundry and there was no "courtesy" detergent which is not a big deal. We loved the location but if we were to come to the area for an extended period of time with more people, we would likely not stay again due to the houses being so close to each other and lack of privacy.All said, we were there mostly for a family emergency and the house was beautiful and served our purposes as a place to come back and unwind. The choice of seafood restaurants was as I remembered when I grew up in the area.

The house was nice but the washing machine was leaking. Mold was in the showers. We had towel racks that were ripped out of the wall which couldn't hold any towels. Some of the lights in master bedroom didn't work. We did use the contact number provided and didn't get a response. The outdoor hot tube didn't heat up. Spider webs in various corners of the house. Dishes that were cleaned in cabinets still had food on them on arrival.

My granddaughter enjoyed the swimming pool. The kitchen was nice and roomy. The fireplace kept us nice and cozy. The property manager was a big help every time I needed him. The house was available to us earlier than expected. That helped me a ton!

Beautiful home in a great location

This home is a beautiful place in a wonderful gated community. The home was bright and had an airy feel to it which was amazing. The pool and spa was nice once we figured out we had to pay extra for the heater portion of it. The extra price per day was a little steep especially since it resets every day, which was weird if we paid for the service. The home was a little dirty and some functions on the home didn’t work like the kitchen exhaust, burnt out light bulbs, clogged drains from hair. Despite those minor issues, we enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely worst rental we’ve experienced

Upon arrival we were given the wrong code to enter the house and waited 2 hours before anyone returned our call/text. The tv in the main living room was locked out per the owner of the home so we weren’t able to watch tv as a family. There was no hot water!!! We spent most of our morning the following day trying to find and figure and contact people to fix the water heater and finally fixed it ourselves. We called every number available. Texted every number available and NOONE replied!!! For hours!!! Then the pool pump wasn’t working and figuring yellow crap was coming out of the pump into the pool!! The hot tub wouldn’t hold water!!! Or work!!! The contact numbers given to us that we called and texted so many times I can’t count were absolutely ridiculous!!! I could keep going but I won’t. Overall the absolute worst experience I’ve it’s this company and this property!!! I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY EVER!!!!

Amazing!

Our family had such an amazing stay! The location is perfect it is nice and quiet but still so close to all activities available and the beaches are gorgeous!! The home was clean, gorgeous, and comfortable. Pool was excellent and made our stay so fun for the kids! Will definitely stay again next time we are in Destin!

Nice house and location, pool and noise a problem

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property. The first experience was so great we decided to come back. It’s a nice house with a good location, and the property management team responds quickly. The reasons for the overall low rating for this trip were the pool and noise. The pool heater wasn’t working and we were told it had been broken for more than 6 months, which seems ridiculous. Without the heater, the pool was so cold as to be unusable. Additionally, the house next door was undergoing renovation. The workers were in the back yard cutting tiles nearly all week. The noise and dust made it impossible to be outside on the deck or even have sliding doors and windows open. I wish we’d had an experience like our first trip, but I’d say it’s unlikely we would stay here again. At least, not until the pool is properly repaired.

Tranquility stay

The on line pictures were pretty accurate however i wasn't prepared to see into the neighbors back yard/pool area from the dining room/ living room. There aren't any curtains along the entire back of the house. So at night we were completely on display. The hot tub was not functioning but we weren't told until our last night. These issues were brought up on day #2 but not addressed until last evening. But a clogged sink was addressed immediately. Beautiful house. Great location. Club house is well maintained. Awesome playground! Nice walking trail. Weird issue - VERY few hangers. Adequate dishes and platters. Good appliances. Overall I would stay again if issues are addressed..

The house was great. The property management company is not.

Some of the positives were there we lots of items included in the house that were not in the description like beach towels, chairs and umbrellas. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the house was great overall. A few things to be aware of, the very loud alarm system randomly went off 4 hours after we were in the house, and it was an hour before we could get someone to come out to take care of that. We paid to have the hot tub and pool heated and it wasn't. I had called and texted starting the day we arrived and was told someone would fix it. No one ever came, called and it was never fixed. I am still trying to get that refunded. The back of the couch was broken, and we had to buy a broom. The gate code only worked at one of the gates. A resident let us in and gave us a different code to use. It would be helpful if there was an actual person you could contact should problems arise.

Decent house but horrible management, sketchy extra charges

Overall house was alright and in a decent location, but unfortunately the experience was marred by horrible management (Best Beach Getaways). I would not recommend staying here as there are better options for the price in the area with way less sketchy management. A couple examples: - We paid the extra per-day fee for the heated pool, yet when we arrived it was not working. I called the company and they notified me that the heater had been broken for weeks, but they never mentioned it to me and charged my card anyway. I had to ask for them to remove the charge, which thankfully they did. - Received a very large charge from them the day after leaving. I called immediately on seeing the charge, and they said that we had taken three of the plastic wristbands for the guesthouse. I apologized and explained it had been left in the car by accident and asked if I could overnight them back and have the charge removed, and they refused. For whatever reason Vrbo won't let me write the exact amount of the charge, but as it is relevant, it was multiple hundreds of dollars. Four of them, to be exact. For three plastic wristbands. They also charged an additional cleaning fee and refused to give any details as to why, despite the fact we had made sure to put away all garbage exactly as requested. This was my first time using Vrbo and hands down the worst experience I've ever had with any rental. Definitely recommend spending your money at a different property.

House is nice (needs updates) - management company not helpful at all!

We stayed for 6 days at the house. It is a really nice house, in a nice neighborhood, but there is definitely deferred maintenance - cushions are stained, there are dings in the cabinetry, marks on the walls, etc. There is construction going on immediately behind the pool which is not in the photos. They are building a house that is very close by (less than 50 feet). It was loud on the days the construction team was working. The hot tub was not working when we arrived. We left a message with Best Beach Getaways (the management company) and they did not respond with any info that was helpful. It took 2+ days for the pool person to come out and tell us it was broken (not heating). Additionally, the button to turn on the jets was also broken. The pool guy helped to warm it up a bit, but we lost 2+ days in a working hot tub. We did ask for a refund of some of the heating charges and the management company refunded us. The management company was not very responsive. They do not answer the maintenance phone line. You have to leave a message. They do not really seem to care if you are enjoying your vacation or having issues, which again is disappointing. After our stay they charged our credit card for $53 (without telling us why). When I called the office to understand the charge, I was told it was a 'citation' for not putting the garbage cans out on garbage day. We didn't put the cans out because we had only been there a few days and didn't have garbage. I was told to send an email to someone named Erica to get it resolved. I have sent 2 emails & 2 voicemails, and no one is calling me back. It's another frustrating issue with Best Beach Getaways. We will not stay at another one of their properties again. There is nothing in the house - spices, ziploc bags, nothing. In other places we have stayed, there are some supplies. For our 6 day trip we had to go to the supermarket and buy a lot of things that we didn't fully use. We were told not to leave anything in the house so some things we threw away. Also, there are beach chairs, an umbrella and corn hole in the garage. We wish that had been in the listing because we used the credit we received through the booking to rent the exact same things, so it was a bit of a waste. The community has a nice pool and hot tub. There are tennis, pickleball and basketball courts but they do not have any equipment to borrow/rent. This also was not outlined in the listing.

Girls Trip Birthday Celebration

We enjoyed the house, it was enough room for our party of 8 ladies. It would’ve been nice to have floaties for the pool, but we enjoyed it just as well. The house is beautiful and close to the beach, just a 6 minute walk, and close to shopping and restaurants too. The only downside we didn’t like was there weren’t enough supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing soap, hand soap, or trash bags, which are basic essentials that we all agreed should be provided.

Overall the stay was very nice and the house and pool were great and bonus to have your own private pool. The gated community was great with easy access to public beaches. The community pool and area was great for kids. The house itself could use a good deep cleaning and some repairs but still clean and worked well for us.
