What we love about this home \-Cozy for a romantic couples escape \-Back up generator \-Custom heated bathroom floors \-Pet friendly- dogs only, maximum of 1 \-Air conditioning Main floor This modern cabin allows you to indulge in all the things you love - an updated kitchen with granite counters, peninsula seating, stainless steel appliances, custom walk in shower, heated bathroom floors and custom lighting. Upper floor Upstairs bedroom features a skylight to view the beautiful trees while you snuggle. The upstairs loft area is the perfect spot to sip on your glass of whiskey or wine to unwind after a day of adventuring. Or warm your feet by the unique modern gas fireplace in the living room. Enjoy an on demand water heater and mini split to keep you warm in the winter or cool in the summer. Custom tiled shower with heated floors in bathroom. Spacious front deck for socializing and soaking in nature. The rear deck offers extra privacy & a brand new hot tub. Generator on site so you can enjoy the cabin life without roughing it. Important Notes: Nature: This home is located in a rainforest near the base of a mountain. We have critters both large and small that we share the land with. From Ants to bats, mice and raccoons to Bears and Bobcats, we do everything possible to keep them outside. Please do not leave food or garbage outside, as it looks like a free meal for the wildlife. Weather: The mountains provide us with so much to offer, but predictable weather is not one of them. Please be prepared for all types of severe weather from excess heat in the summer to heavy rains in the Spring & Fall and Snow and Ice in the winter. It is highly recommended that you bring a 4-wheel or All wheel drive vehicle in the winter. Due to the potential harsh weather, power outages and internet outages happen from time to time and are out of our control. We do not issue any refunds for loss of power or internet. Please prepare for all types of weather when visiting the mountains. Groceries: Large grocery runs should be done in Bellingham (about 45 min away). There are a handful of small mom and pop grocery stops along Mt Baker Highway and we are happy to make recommendations. Restaurants are extremely limited and are not always open during the slower seasons. Please come prepared with provisions. Gated Community / HOA: About Snowline Community Club Snowline is a private gated community that borders the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest and is one of the closest communities to the Mt. Baker Ski Area. The community has numerous hiking trails both to Glacier and to the Nooksack River, a children's playground and kickball field. The HOA requires gate cards for guest access, has rules for quiet hours, leash laws and a no campfire policy. Parking is limited to the vehicles that fit in the driveway perpendicular to the road. \*\* Property Manager is required to register ALL vehicles that will be present on the property during your stay. \*Please be advised that effective 10/01/2022, The Snowline community amenities ; which include the swimming pool, clubhouse, sports courts, etc. are no longer available for Guests use. We Thank you for your cooperation Pet Policy: DOGS only permitted (no cats or other pets) maximum 1 dog allowed @ $35/per night Pet Rules: We love pets and are glad that you're bringing your furry companion. We just ask that you please follow all of our guidelines, since this is another person's home. 1\. Pet fees must be paid in advance of Check in. 2\. Maximum 1 Dog allowed (no cats) 3\. Best ever stocked kitchen in a rental. Wi-fi is s-l-o-w. But we were glad to have it since there was no cell coverage. Easy access off the Mt Baker highway. It is listed as having a jacuzzi which was locked. It didn’t have a broom or vacuum which is a big deal when it is listed as dog-friendly. Bring dog towels for your pup. We wiped dog feet and bathed our dog a lot. Also we rolled up the WHITE rug. Quiet and peaceful with great access to mountain activities. ##### brenda P. The cabin is extremely clean and well-maintained, and has pretty much anything you'd need for a short stay. The air conditioning in the summer was a huge plus! Overall, it was perfect for our weekend getaway and very accessible to Mount Baker and nearby trails. Check-in was super easy and communication was good. Was very hot at night with heat off and ceiling fan on high, even so we had to have both loft windows opened enjoying the winter breeze. Wifi is absolutely terrible. Very hard to stream anything. I could suggest to owners to upgrade this. Hot tub was excellent. Maybe a second suggestions is to have a some basics like wine glasses, however the host was prompt to bring some to us.
