Laughing Horse Lodge

"Upon arrival, I was a little suspect. No one is there to check you in (we were told this ahead of time). Once we read all the posted signs, and figured out where to drive/park, we made it to our room. What a lovely surprise. The room was lovely, welcoming, and comfortable without a lot of extras. The place was clean and the beds comfortable. In our paperwork, the WI-FI password was provided, but in our room (#5), there was no Wi-Fi to connect so that was a bit disappointing - manageable but disappointing. Had a great night sleep and started the day with a fantastic home-cooked breakfast. Kathleen was so engaging and personable and made us feel like family. I would definitely stay there again if I were in the area. One word of caution - website information is different than reality and there are no dining options within 15-20 miles of the lodge if the lodge dining room is closed - which it is open only 3 nights a week. So, plan ahead. Our dinner consisted of snacks from our travels because we were not aware of that so didn't plan ahead! But overall - what a great place! Thanks Kathleen!"

"Timbers Motel is a classic and iconic part of Bigfork! My family has been staying here for over 38 years, and it has not lost its charm. The rooms are not fancy - but very clean. The pool is not huge- but perfect for a hot summer afternoon, The Timbers has everything you need for a perfect vacation. It is locally owned and well maintained. Plus, it is in walking distance to all the best parts of Bigfork. Oh, and they gladly take dogs. Enjoy your stay!"

"We enjoyed staying here and will return sometime in the future. Beautiful location in the sleepy town of Dayton. Quiet and peaceful - very relaxing. Quick walk to a beach and swimming area. Cabin was neat and comfortable and well equipped."
