"We have stayed at this property many times and have had an excellent experience. This last stay had one issue. We booked a handicapped room with a roll in shower due to the fact my husband walks with a rollator. After taking my shower which was a very short one, I walked out of the shower and almost the entire bathroom was flooded with water. Water started to flow into the hallway and then into the bedroom. I immediately called down to the desk to ask for maintenance, however, I was told they don't come in for another 2 hours. The young girl at the desk was all alone was very nice and so concerned. She gave me a hand full of towels to hopefully soak up the water. Unfortunately, my husband was unable to take a shower. Since we were leaving, I found out the water issue carried to the floor below. I can understand that pipes get clogged and can break. I feel we should still receive some type of compensation on our stay for the inconvenience. The young girl at the desk was so apologetic and was going to leave a note for the manager to see what they could do. We will continue to still stay at this Hampton Inn since we like the handicapped rooms, it's clean and the location to Alfred Tech & Wegmans is perfect for us."

"The Avon Inn was a wonderful choice for our long weekend, especially for anyone who appreciates the character of a historic property dating back to 1820. My wife attended the Rochester Eggsperience (pysanky) retreat, and the inn provided a clean, quiet, and convenient home base. The staff was friendly, prompt and responsive, and the room was well-equipped with Wi-Fi, a small refrigerator, and even an adjustable bed. Having an on-site restaurant for dinner was a great perk. A couple of practical details for future guests. First, the main lobby and restaurant close later in the evening (although a contact number is provided for overnight needs). Second, all guest rooms are located on the second floor with no elevator access, which is worth keeping in mind for those with mobility concerns."

"Oak Valley Inn is a gem! What a delightful place! Our room was cozy but roomy. The innkeepers were so nice and personable. Breakfast was home-cooked and unique each of our 3 days. It was perfect. Nothing like the ordinary chain hotel."

"The property can use some upgrades. There were contractors working in the building, so it looks like they are improving things. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the continental breakfast was good. The night I stayed it was very quiet. The hotel is off from the main roads, so it was quiet. The price was very reasonable. Overall, a good place to stay while you're passing through the area."

"Our group of ten 70-something year old Geneseo sorority sisters had a wonderful time enjoying the lakehouse and each other. Even “crabby old ladies” couldn’t find anything to complain about! One caution though… bring an outdoor umbrella and pop up shade. We were also challenged by the ladder from the water to the deck. All else…perfect! In fact we got home yesterday and already booked for next year!"

"Everything was very clean. Very comfortable. Me and the wife had a very relaxing stay. Loved the fire pit and the view. Had a hard time with the internet but it was nice to just unplug from the world."
