Kitchen was sufficiently equipped and access to a nice covered back porch with gas grill was greatly appreciated. The accommodations were adequate and the weather was absolutely perfect. We were charged a last minute cleaning fee, but the floors and back porch were not cleaned.The kitchen had everything you would need for your stay and it is appointed well. The furnishings in the house are very nice. Bathroom updated and nicely done. We would stay again, but would appreciate if it was cleaned up a bit more. Furnishings were simple but more than adequate. Location is the big appeal to this property, right in town with the major bike rental outfitters for Creeper Trail literally across the street.As of April 2025, the community is still rebuilding from Helene damage, but still has plenty on offer in Damascus, nearby Abingdon with the Barter Theater, historic downtown and nice restaurants. Appreciated the book about Mount Rogers Natl Historic Area in the home to help us prep for a gorgeous hiking adventure there with the wild ponies. ##### Yancey F. Staying here, we had several great restaurants/bar that we could walk to. The house was nicely decorated, comfortable, clean and modern. The bed was comfortable. The fenced yard was very nice for our dog but I would not leave him out there alone because the fence didn’t appear to be very sturdy. I would definitely stay here again. ##### Tracey M.
