Wonderful, pet-friendly, and beautifully decorated 3/2 home on the water that’s perfect for a vacation or simply relaxation. It’s located on beautiful Cudjoe Gardens Key with direct ocean access with no bridges. There’s a marina within walking or rowing distance. Check out the nearby Marvin Key video. Why rent paddle equipment when our vacation rental includes multiple standup paddle-boards (SUPs), kayaks, Canoes, life vests, and paddles. We are constantly updating our paddling gear so check back often. We recently moved a canoe from the other location to this row fleet. The living room is spacious, and we have installed smart devices in the primary living area to make your stay more enjoyable. You can use Google assistant to check on the weather and even control how bright or dim the lights should be. We offer free high-speed internet and smart TVs in every room. The kitchen has lovely appliances, and we recently installed a new microwave and air fryer for those looking for healthier alternatives. There's even a freezer outside that can be used for bait and your fresh catch. We offer both a traditional coffee machine and a Keurig K-Compact for those seeking something different ( feel free to bring your favorite flavors). Oceanside and Gulf side boating await for those interested in exploring the Keys. If you hire a guide, you can explore offshore beaches on the Gulf side that we consider comparable or better than many of the beaches on Dr. Beach's list. Every once in awhile a seaplane will take someone to these beaches because the locations are just so wonderful (see the video someone posted about Marvin Key which is in the backcountry). We are really working hard on our BBQ and grilling capabilities. We acquired a Weber grill. Looe Key Reef is an easy trip by boat or charter. The home itself is has a great screened in area that overlooks the swimming canal. Great place to have a cup of coffee in the morning or night. Inside you’ll find a warm, comfortable home that’s completely furnished and ready to go. There is plenty of parking, so you do not have to pay to store your trailer somewhere else. For relaxation purposes, we have installed wall-mounted 4K Ultra high-definition TVs with Chromecast built-in. These TVs are smartly connected to the wifi provided by AT&T fiber. Netflix, AT&T, and Disney+ are available. Of course, all trademarks and content belong to Google, Disney, AT&T, ESPN, and Netflix. Smart Home: Just ask Google a question, "Hey Google, what's the weather outlook." Or, "Hey Google, play some inspirational music on 'inside'." You may also control the temperature, "Hey Google, set the temperature to 76 degrees on all devices" - there are three devices. It's also useful to have Google call local services for you. For example, "Hey Google, call Cudjoe Gardens marina." Since Google controls the living room lights you can always say things like, "Hey Google dim the lights" or "Hey Google, turn the lights to blue." The host was very responsive when we had a minor issue when we arrived. There are both pros and cons to the home. Pros: Location - the house is located in a nice development. Very quiet, all neighbors were very friendly. With Key West 20 miles south and shopping about 8 miles north. Very convenient location. The dock is very nice, with ample cleats to secure your boat. A boat ramp (small fee to use) is very close by. The WIFI in the house is very good, no issues and more than ample speed. The outside furniture is very comfortable. The TV’s in each room were good The layout of the house is very nice, with an open floor plan in the living area Con’s: The house is clearly a rental property, not someone’s home that is also a rental. The house definitely needs some general maintenance and tender loving care. The cleaning crew did a just ok job. The property was clean, had everything we needed and was close to the marina and channels for offshore and gulfside adventures. We entertained family for the first couple of weeks and it was big enough for all of us to be comfortable. We battled wind for a couple days but never felt cramped in the house when we couldn't get out on the ocean. The last couple weeks we got down to business for putting fish in the freezer and it served us well for that too. The only thing that could have pushed this one over the top is a fish cleaning station, but that is definitely not a complaint or a must-have for fishing. This place has everything you could possibly need. We especially enjoyed the kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards, paddling out to see the sun rise was something we'll never forget!! Canal access was wonderful and easy to navigate in/out. No evidence of prior pet occupation :) House worked well for what we were looking for! There was some slight plumbing/roof work being done- but that did not deter/bother us in any way. Kris was VERY prompt to any call/concern we did have. AC kept us cold - - which in July was HUGE!!! By the end of the third week, we were told to leave Monroe County as were all non-residents. The property and especially the location are great. I met several of the neighbors--some permanent residents of the block and some snowbirds--and joined them a few times at their daily neighborhood "happy hour". Canals provide access to open water for your boat or a 10 minute paddle by kayak. It could use a few upgrades including the gas grill and kayaks that were provided. Naja and Kim were very accommodating and helpful. ##### Karl L.
