Box Canyon Lodge And Hot Springs

Box Canyon Lodge And Hot Springs

8/10 Good
"First appearance, this place is beautiful. Quite a bit of a walk to Main Street if you have any sort of health problems, etc. This place has pretty cool rooms, the AC units need some work. The blowers are weak and the filters are dirty. Other than that, you will really enjoy the rooms. Still give the rooms five stars. My only complaint is for the price, this continental breakfast should be included not $10 a person. Also, if you’re trying to enjoy the breakfast in the morning, the young brown, headed lady is not very friendly and she looks like she is ill every morning. But once you speak with her, she does give you the attention you deserve and becomes friendly. The young man that checked her in, I felt like I was being checked in at a diagnostic center going to prison. Kind of stern and direct, no hello how are you, welcome to our establishment, etc. etc. we are glad to have you. None of that. Just dry, here you go what do you need? Here’s the deal. I usually stay at Ouray Inn, but they were booked. They have an amazing breakfast and the nicest staff you will ever meet. Which makes up for the older establishment. Overall, I would still get this place 4.5 stars. The views are amazing, the parking lot is very clean, the hot springs tubs are so cool. I would just say the staff needs to be friendly and continental breakfast should be included."
