The location is perfect — just a short walk to the ski hill. The property itself is lovely, with a pool and three hot tubs. I'd highly recommend it to others.

King Fir 423 was clean and had all the accommodations listed. Our room was located right across the hall from the pool change rooms which we found very handy! The alpine resort is a short walk away, the city of fernie is not connected that we could find by a walking path which was the only disappointing thing we experienced! We can’t wait to book our next stay.

We were very pleased with the two bedroom/2 full bath suite with full kitchen. It was as promised and everything we needed for self-catering (including using the common BBQ) was there. I had messaged in advance if the coffee maker was a Keurig or regular drip coffee maker and was pleased to get a prompt response (regular coffee maker) that allowed us to plan better. For two adults and o e teenager it was the perfect arrangement with TVs on the bedrooms as well as the living room. Location was great. We found a walking shortcut to get to the Cirque restaurant in Lizard Creek Lodge. And there is a convenience store a two or three minute walk away. There are multiple hot tub options including the one by the swimming pool. We would definitely come again. Our three nights were wonderful.

It was a nice clean room the pictures did not do justice it was very nice. Although Ac/ furnace must be broken or something. When we got in the room it was at 35 degrees and we turned the AC on and it was so loud we were unable to sleep. The second day/ night it got way louder progressively and sounded like it was gonna blow up so we had to unplug it. Other than that, very nice stay!

Beautiful unit, very welcoming and clean. Check-in was a breeze and our questions and concerns were answered promptly. There is A/C in the main bedroom and it blasts ice cold which was great for the near 30degC days that we had for half of our trip. The issue is there is no A/C in the secondary bedroom and the main living space, it was unbearable on the near 30degC days, when the weather cooled down to 25degC it was alright with windows wide open. Next issue is the Yale lock on the door, it just doesn't seem very secure, and maybe the door latch is not aligned properly or something but occasionally it will fritz out and beep and retry locking even though it is already locked. Just something to keep in mind, we had to keep check of it when entering and leaving the unit. The shared swim pool in the King Fir lodge was awesome, and open quite late with night lights so if you want to swim in the evening it is still possible. Pricing was my main gripe, while the daily rate is low there was an astronomical property fee, I wish they would make be more up front with the actual price rather than try to hide it behind a property fee. Overall it was a pleasant stay, very quiet, not too crowded or busy and very close to the City. 4.5 stars out of 5 due to lack of A/C in secondary room and property fee charges.

Perfect family getaway

Great spot. The room with the bunk and queen was perfect for our 4 kids. Pool was great as was the bbq and hot tub in our building. Our kitchen was fully loaded with supplies, cookware etc. which was great because we ate in during our stay. Overall, a perfect family getaway.

We stayed in the juniper this time, the unit was a lot cleaner and the a/c worked perfectly. So far the juniper has the best units. Tv worked, bed was comfortable and the water pressure was good.

Everything was clean and amenities were great. My only complaint (very minor) was that the furniture needed a refresh. Either chair covers or new chairs in the living room. Bedroom bed was quite hard. That being said, we would 100% return as the value was amazing, proximity to the ski resort was fantastic and having a well appointed kitchen really added value to our stay. Thank you Timberline!
