"Positives: The cottage was very nice and spacious, it can easily fit 12 people. The Hot Tub and Sauna were are pretty good. We really liked the open space and large dining table. Other:1. Unsafe Access Due to Snow and IceUpon arrival, the cottage and stairs were completely covered in snow, making access unsafe. I reported this immediately. The host initially stated someone would come to clear the snow the next day. However, when I followed up, the host reversed this and stated no one would come at all. This created a clear safety hazard for our group.2. Extremely Cold Indoor Temperature and Locked ThermostatWhen we arrived, the cottage was extremely cold and not properly heated. The thermostat was locked by the host and set to auto, repeatedly reverting to 21C. This temperature was insufficient to warm the house, especially in winter conditions. After repeatedly asking, the host reluctantly adjusted it to 24C, but we lost most of Friday night trying to warm the house.3. Undisclosed Induction Stove – Unable to CookThe cottage had an induction stove, which was not disclosed in the listing. None of the cookware we brought was compatible. We were a group of 12 people and required larger pots for cooking, which were unusable. As a result, we were unable to prepare meals on the first night. I reported this issue to VRBO support as well, but with the host unresponsive, there was no solution.4. Host Non-Responsiveness During Critical Period"

"We had a large group of friends and families (15 adults) staying here for the new years. The main upstairs area was very spacious and comfortable and we spent the majority of time there. There was lots of additional space in the basement but didn't end up using it. The pool table in the basement was not functional (missing felt, bumpers were not secured and it was not level) so that was unfortunate as a good portion of its enjoy playing pool and that was a selling feature. There were lots of bed to accommodate everyone, and the beds were comfortable, and the blankets provided were nice and warm.The surrounding area was very beautiful, scenic, and peaceful. There were multiple grocery stores located nearby (15 minute drive) which was super convenient.There were a good variety of kitchen supplies (pots, pans, food trays) which made cooking for large groups easier. The basement fridge was also very useful. There were a couple of kitchen items missing (salt, measuring cups) but we solved this with a quick trip to the store. There were plenty of plates and cutlery available for our large group as well.Overall we enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful time. "

"This was our second year spending 4 nights at this property. We had a hiccup with a new cabin being built next door but everything was handled perfectly. Ron is always great and so caring. He remembered us from last year and he made sure to always check in on us. We look forward to coming back hopefully as a yearly trip. "
