    Beachcomber est confortable au premier étage d'un condo situé dans le complexe du Beach Club. Ce complexe de bord de plage offre à ses clients une grande variété d'équipements, y compris une piscine chauffée en saison, un bain à remous, étang de pêche, centre de fitness, un centre d'affaires avec accès Wifi gratuit et plus encore! I left my iPad at the condo. My fault, I get that. But its location is at a Padre Escape facility and after multiple days of calling and messaging them no one has replied or reached out. I stay here multiple times a year so this is just very disappointing.

The Padre Escapes staff was helpful and very friendly, and attentive when we had noise complaint. The place was a short walk to the beach , and the pool area looked nice, as well as the exterior of complex. However, our room was infested with fruit flies- we had to mitigate some of that ourselves. A simple cleaning of garbage disposal makes a big difference with fruit flies, and looked like it had Never been done. The back patio had drywall/construction dust everywhere that could have simply been swept up, and then our dog wouldn't have eaten it and gotten sick. The back patio door didnt lock from deadbolt. The front door deadbolt fell off when we tried to lock it! There was significant air trapped in the pipes which made the water not flow properly. They also didnt bother to tell us the bldg # on our reservation, so we were searching around, and had to call after hours to find our place. For the price (which seemed to add up more and more with changing fees) it was..meh...

Other tenants were so friendly. Padre Escapes management was out of this word awesome to work with. This was the medicine our souls needed to recharge. Reviewer Comments: I do not recommend this place as it was not properly cleaned and there was a strong ‘wet dog’ smell which did not go away. Location was good and company offered to waive cleaning fees but the scent spoiled any time spent inside the condo.

Not as Expected

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Reserved this to have a place to stay after losing our home and belongings in the hurricane. We were so excited to get out of the hotel that we had been staying in 3 hours away from where we lived. The place was as pictured, but it was not that clean. Needs updating. Doors were hard to lock going out on patio. Was close to beach which I liked, but would not stay there again. Very disappointed that when we were able to get into our new mobile much earlier than we thought that they were not willing to work with us to give us a refund on some of the time that we did not need. Fellow Texans not willing to help out those in need really disappointed me. We definitely could have used the extra money to help in replacing our lost things.

Had to set them on the floor then didn't want to knock them over. Also worried that my phone would fall on the tile floor and could break cause there was not a place to set your phone near you otherwise you would need to get up and down off the sofa to check it.

The location was just great for our needs, with walking to the beach, and close to restaurants. Our time went too quickly! The only thing I'd rather have had, was a newer showerhead system, it seemed to be old and over used. Also, there was no blanket and it did get chilly. Otherwise, we had no other problems, just a good time!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was clean and inviting. It was an older building, so it had a few quirks to get used to. The maintenance staff was prompt and courteous in answering questions and service calls. The kitchen was small sized as only one of us could work in it at a time. We had to provide our own food storage containers and mixing bowls as they were not part of the kitchen inventory, but all of the cookware and dinnerware were provided. Loved the fact that the beach was a couple of blocks away and walkable. The location was within 20 minutes of major shopping areas and had several local eateries within less than 10 minutes. It's a very laid back and friendly community and very pet friendly. We are returning next year but renting a unit with a bigger kitchen as we enjoy cooking most of our meals.

Everyone at Padre Escapes was very professional and very responsive. The Beach Club pool was very clean and the hot tub warm. The condo was basic but comfortable except for the sofa sleeper which was very uncomfortable. I recommend staying here if you don't have to use the sofa sleeper and aren't planning on cooking much.

Great Long Weekend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Easy Check-in, and the condo was in a great location, close to the beach, as well as shops and restaurants. The place was exactly as described, comfortable, with a great TV and the bed was nice and soft. The only thing we had to go buy was coffee filters, salt and pepper. Never made it to the pool, as we stayed on the beach both full days, and went to local restaurants in the evenings. Doc's, Scuttlebutts, and the Boathouse were good. Drove the Padre National seashore for 15 miles. Really cool if you have 4wheel drive.
