This area provides a genuine taste of rural Romanian life, with many guesthouses and pensions offering traditional hospitality. The streets are generally quiet and easy to navigate.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape will appreciate the guesthouses located on the gentle hills just outside the immediate village centre. The best time to visit Cornesti is during the late spring and early autumn months, specifically from May to June and September to October.

These periods offer the most pleasant weather conditions for exploring the area. You'll find comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, with less humidity and a lower chance of heavy rainfall compared to the peak summer months. This makes it ideal for enjoying outdoor activities like hiking in the surrounding forests or visiting the Cornesti Citadel.

For those who enjoy cultural experiences and outdoor exploration, these months are particularly good. Many local events and festivals take place in the spring and autumn, offering a glimpse into the region's traditions without the larger crowds associated with high summer. It's a great time for couples or solo travellers looking for a relaxed yet engaging trip.

While July and August are also popular, they can be quite warm, with temperatures sometimes exceeding 30°C, and there's a higher chance of thunderstorms.
