Frank's Flat

  • This turn of the century historic victorian was home to Frank Waters, an American writer who wrote fiction and non-fiction about the American Southwest. The completely renovated upstairs apartment has lots of charm. Very spacious with two floors included in the apartment. The master is on the main floor with the living room, bathroom and kitchen and the two additional bedrooms are on the third floor. Roomy and able to sleep 8! We appreciate our guests and are only a message or phone call away.

Our second time staying here ! My kids, husband, and I really enjoy this property and it seems they are constantly adding small bits and changes to make it better. It’s close to everything in downtown Colorado Springs !

This is the second time I've stayed at Frank's Flat. The check in process is very easy and the place is always clean. I would absolutely stay there again. Very quiet neighborhood.

Warm and cozy

Check in was easy, plenty of parking convenient location. The kitchen was great with seasonings and plenty of dishes. A full length mirror would have been really nice but not the end of the world. I would definitely stay again

Good lodging

Overall, it is private, easy to find, easy to communicate with the owner, and the kitchen is clean. However, the house is a bit old, so it makes some noise and the air conditioning is noisy.

Very cute!

This place was great for our family of five! I loved the decorations and the kids loved the snacks (goldfish). Everything looked newly renovated. We would 100% stay here again.

The sheets had a bad smell, the front door and the door to my door to my unit had the same code , which is not safe. The door to my unit had about 1/2 inch movement, which makes break ins easy. When mentioned to the host she said it would not be fixed.The stairs have carpet but are very slippery which I feel down. Between customer service and the host the was no concern about safety. The unit is close to downtown, which is filled with homeless a mentally ill people. My rating for this experience is a less than zero.

Everything about our stay was great. We loved the flat. It was very clean and charming inside. The kids really loved the snacks too. Attention to extra hooks, towels etc was a nice touch too. This listing was perfect for our family with a fully packed vacation schedule and was a great deal.

Absolutely AMAZING!

Frank’s Flat was such a wonderful property, plenty of room, very cutely decorated and so cozy & comfortable! Parking onsite made it easy, this stay was our best with VRBO, everyone loved it! I really wish I could give it more than 5 stars. We will definitely stay here again! RENT IT, you will not regret it!!

Very nice and cozy place. Had every thing we needed. This was the 2nd time we’ve stayed at Frank’s Flats. Just beware of the flight of stairs up to Frank’s Flat.
