Individually decorated room in the style of the artist Miro. It was very well furnished and spotlessly clean. The late check-in arrangement worked very well. We didn’t sample breakfast as we had to leave early to catch a train. We would not hesitate to stay at the Malerwinkel again.

Very good stay at Malerwinkel Hotel

The Malerwinkel Hotel is a charming ensemble of traditional timber framed buildings and a newer guest house - all draped around a leafy courtyard. It oozes charm, character, history and the promise of a very personal hotel guest experience. On that the Malerwinkel fully delivers: all staff are very welcoming and go out of their way yo male guests feel welcome and at home very quickly. The room I stayed in at the Kuemstlerhaus was spacious and decorated as the "Juan Miro" room. Amenities and furnishings are very nice and I had a great view towards the courtyard and the historic city centre. Breakfast service is of high quality and served in the maun house with the option to sit outside: the ambience is picturesque and the service is very personal, friendly a d efficient. Parking is free, and since the hotel sits above the city centre, there is an abundance of shopping & dining options. I even found time to see a movie one evening. Connections to Cologne via public transportation (S1) are close by, fast and easy to use. The A4 highway gets you to Cologne in 20 minutes or do - depending on traffic. The hotel was a great choice - with many small "touches" making my stay special & enjoyable (i.e. free coffee, tea, water, and ice cream!). What really stood out were the staff though: they were fantastic! The only room for improvement are the towels for the shower (larger would be nice), and the curtains (not easy to operate). But this is small stuff and overall I was happy!

Das Hotel ist einfach wunderschön und wirklich Super Sauber. Wir waren schon in so einigen Hotels aber Malerwinkel ist einfach unschlagbar. Vom Personal bis zum Frühstück war es wiedereinmal absolut top. Wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder.

sehr schönes Zimmer in der alten Musikschule mit Kaffeemaschine auf dem Zimmer. Im Flur gibt es kostenlos Tee und Wasser.. Ausreichend hoteleigene Parkplätze. Frühstück reichlich und alles Wichtige vorhanden. Sehr nettes Personal hilft sofort weiter, wenn etwas fehlt oder Hilfe benötigt wird. Empfehlenswert.
