If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet experience this is the place for you! Each room has its unique characteristics and charm. The staff are very attentive and the chef is fantastic! Truly a one of a kind vacation experience.

The Sassi suite is the most impressive room/suite I have ever stayed in. The floor to ceiling windows overlooking a vast unobstructed view of the hills of Tuscany is simply amazing.

An unforgettable stay at Castello Di Vicarello! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at home, warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere that instantly makes you slow down and soak it all in. But what truly made this trip special were the activities. The wine tasting was a dream, authentic, rich in flavor, and filled with local charm. And the cooking class? Hands down one of the best experiences of the trip. Learning to make traditional dishes in such a beautiful setting was a memory we’ll never forget. If you’re looking for more than just a hotel something that feels like a true Tuscan experience this is it.

There are no words to describe how amazing this property is! From the moment we arrived, the staff was absolutely amazing and accommodating. They greeted us by name, which was absolutely wonderful. We were given a tour of the property followed by lunch. The food at this Castello is simply divine. Everything is farm-to-table and they only use the highest of ingredients. Our rooms were also just spectacular. We stayed in the Vicario Suite, Suite Sprone & the Spa Suite. All three were amazing, however the Spa Suite was really special. The amenities in our rooms were wonderful as well. You can tell that management has thought of every last detail to make the guests stay a five star experience. This was definitely the highlight of our vacation and we cannot wait to return!

Staying here was the end of a 33 day driving trip. It was absolutely wonderful! If you want a real exclusive “castle” experience on top of a mountain with awesome views and excellent food, this is the place. Well worth the money!

Our stay at Castello di Vicarello was a major letdown. The property is visually beautiful, and the food itself is good, but the service ruins the experience. For a place charging these rates, attention to cleanliness and hospitality should be mandatory — yet it was lacking. The living room was dusty, with spider webs or debris on the ceiling — unacceptable for guests with allergies or asthma. Service is disorganized, and apart from one helpful staff member (Isabella), we found the staff untrained and the entire approach overly focused on extra charges instead of guest satisfaction. This property is all about appearances, not true luxury. We would not recommend it. Choose Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco instead for real 5-star service and value.

Staying here was like a fairy tail! The property of the castle is incredible and beautiful! The rooms are unique with great amenities. The staff was all helpful and friendly. The only slight negative was the food. The food at the restaurant is very pricey for what it is. You are paying a high premium for the location. We hope to be back again soon!

Espectacular el lugar los dueños muy amables, sin embargo los cuartos con mini split no son de un hotel con este precio, la limpieza normal. Muy pocas opciones de comida, muy restringidas las horas y el menu y al ser un lugar lejano de cualquier pueblo de alrededor el hotel es la unica opcion para comer y no puedes comer a cualquier hora. Al personal de recepcion le falta amabilidad.

The wonderful Castello di Vicarello

The residence is absolutely gorgeous in the middle of nowhere in Tuscany. The road is a bit bumpy to come but it’s worth it. The suites are very confortable and all the amenities are clean and very well decorated. I have to give a special wow to the breakfast in the morning, Simoh the chef, and his staff are simply amazing. Kind and very caring, they are top notch and the products they serve are simply delicious. The general atmosphere of the castle is great too. The place where you take dinner is on top of the castle and at night it is absolutely gorgeous. Personally I would think the dinner is a little bit pricy and it’s a shame they don’t have a simple alternative like pizza or pasta at a more reasonable price but the dinner we had there was amazing I have to say. Overall a great experience and lovely staff! Thanks again to Simoh the chef who really made this experience an even better one!

Traum Ort in der Toskana oder auf der Welt!

Vom Empfang bis hin zum Check-Out lief alles reibungslos und super organisiert. Das Castello ist wunderschön und die Liebe zum Detail übertrifft alle Erwartungen. Das gesamte Personal ist extrem freundlich und auf höchstem Niveau. Die gesamte Anlage ist wie aus einem Bilderbuch. Der perfekte Ort um Ruhe und Erholung zu finden. Auch die Aussicht aus der Spa Suite ist atemberaubend. Das Essen (Schlosseigener Garten) ist sensationell, gepaart mit der Location ein echter Traum!! Das Nachtessen wird auf der Terrasse mit Kerzenlicht und unter dem Sternenhimmel serviert. Schon alleine deswegen muss dieser Ort besucht werden! Das gesamte Konzept stimmt und erhält einen krönenden Abschluss durch Uva (der netteste und süsseste Schlosshund). Wir hatten den schönsten Aufenhalten unsere gesamten Toskanareise und werden ganz bestimmt wiederkommen!

Hospitality to the max!

My husband and I spent 2 nights here are the end of April and we HIGHLY recommend staying here. From the moment we got on the property to the moment we left we were treated like royalty but with the comfort of feeling like family. We met the family who owns and runs the winery and the hotel and we loved playing with the family dog. We ate all of our meals here and they all were fabulous. They have amazing staff. Everyone does everything they can to make sure you are totally comfortable and relaxed the whole time. We also had total freedom to explore the property. We booked the wine tasting and the bicycle tour and we highly recommend both activities. We can't say enough about the hospitality they offered, yummy food, great wine, beautiful scenery and the overall bliss we experienced while we were here.

Tuscan getaway

We stayed at Castello di Vicarello for three nights as a base to explore southern Tuscany. The property is lovely and the service is wonderful. Simo in particular very helpful- he carried our luggage, delivered everything we requested to our room, was our waiter at all our meals on the property, and packed us waters when we checked out. Our only disappointment was dinner- it was good, but simple and overpriced for what it was.
