Quiet Retreat in Aspen Grove
This Log Cabin has a open floor plan and large windows to view wildlife. There are two separate sleeping quarters, one in the loft, the other is on the main level. This cabin is most comfortable for a small family or two couples, but can sleep up to 6 people with need sharing including a queen air mattress upon request. There is both a cozy pellet stove and a wood fire place, and spacious outside deck. It is tucked in an aspen grove so plenty of wildlife can be viewed walking around the full acre property. The cabin is near recreation areas for fishing, hiking, biking, snowmobiling, off roading, geocaching, historical and scenic treasures. A perfect oasis to disconnect from busy city life and reconnect with the rustic quiet beauty of nature.
Winter is approximately late November through early April, during this season Roads are closed to road vehicles. Only tracked vehicles (snowmobiles) or skies are allowed. Winter parking lot is about 5 miles from Cabin. Bring your own snowmobiles/skies or rent snowmobiles in the neighborhood!

Cabin felt remote and relaxing while still only being an hour from town. Very nice that it is pet friendly since our pups always travel with us. Great to get out of the heat for a few days.
We couldn’t have enjoyed the beautiful cabin and space anymore than we did. It was the best Christmas ever! The cabin had everything we needed with special touches of Christmas trees and decoration. This is a place to build core memories with your family.
Nice cabin and beautiful weather made our summer escape from the flat lands very pleasant. The hummingbird nest on the porch, deer, ermine, the bear markings on the aspen trees and the woodland fairy faces hidden in the trees made all of our walks an adventure.
Loved our time there! Very quiet and secluded! Wished there was a toaster. Didn't matter to us, but if we'd had another couple along it would've been nice to know ahead of time that access to the single bath was through a bedroom.
Beautiful scenery and very nice and secluded cabin. Kitchen was equipped with what we needed for meals. Enjoyed the wood stove for the chilly evenings. My grandson enjoyed the s’mores basket.

This is a beautiful cabin in a positively idyllic setting. Quiet. Peaceful.
My husband & I booked A Place of Grace as a base camp to visit the locations in and around the Gunnison Valley. Upon arrival we were taken back by the serenity and beauty of the cabin. Everything was perfect. The king size bed was very comfy. The size of the cabin was perfect for my husband and I and our 2 dogs. We fished at the lakes and caught fish, we actually spent the day at the lower Flint lake (the 1st one you come to on the road) and were completely alone all day so our dogs got to enjoy the water without disrupting others vacation. We ate at the Arrowhead Lodge one day, Pam was an AMAZING Host. She made sure we had everything we needed and answered all of our questions about the area. There is a huge construction project on HWY 50 which restricted our travel. However on our 2nd day they opened up travel south on HWY 50 to Arrowhead guests and owners to once an hour which was very helpful. Our flagger Sharon was a hoot and had a lot of knowledge about the area as well. We did not want to come home. 7 nights past by so quickly. If you are thinking about a quiet vacation with no interruptions book here! I promise you will not find a better place.
Our stay was amazing! I was able to stay in touch with the property owner and reach out when I needed to but had our privacy! We were given all the information we could possibly need, and Felt very comfortable and welcomed when we got to the cabin.
