This was a really unique experience for us. It is an older historic bed and breakfast that we loved. We drove into the pasture to get to it and passed antelope and prarie dogs along the way. It was raining, so we didn't get to enjoy the sunset on the mountains behind. We sat by the fire in the main room and played a few games before retiring. The breakfast the next morning was served by the chef there and she was amazing, it certainly was a full breakfast and delicious! No tv's, but good wifi.

It's a slice of heaven. Immediately adjacent to Philmont Scout Ranch. Setting is perfect, isolated, peaceful. The innkeeper are exceptional. The Casa is like a villa with rooms arra get around a gracious patio. I hated to leave.

This place is amazing! We enjoyed our night at the Casa and wish we could have stayed longer. The drive in is special, you will see prairie dogs and antelope. The historic property is beautiful and the stars at night will blow you away. The innkeeper is super nice. She made sure to accommodate my picky eater when she made breakfast. There is a full kitchen with snacks and drinks you can help yourself too. After we checked out we had some time to kill and hung out in the library for a few hours. It is very welcoming, with big couches and lots of games.

It was conveniently close to the Philmont Scout Ranch. The reading rooms were quiet and comfortable. Having access to kitchen facilities was handy since restaurants in the area are scarce and unpredictible.

Comfortable and clean with great mountain view. Staff is excellent and friendly. Historical is correct as you look around inside. Great patio area. Probably not many places left like this. Located in the country. Wish we could have stayed a few more days.

We stayed two nights while travelling to meet a crew coming off the trail at Philmont. Wonderful experience...great property, excellent hosts, terrific breakfast each day. We particularly loved walking out back for an up close view of the iconic Tooth of Time. We would love to stay here again.

Gorgeous place at edge of philmont ranch. Stunning views and the Southwest style with lovely art and furnishings just perfect. Wonderful breakfast and food to snack on that was included. Staff most helpful. Want to go back next year and stay longer!

The property is located in a quiet ranch protected by gates and fences. Upon arrival, The host gave us a property tour and showed us the hiking trails and the best places to watch sunset and sunrise. Breakfast was great. We had a wonderful stay and will stay here again when we are in the area next time.

Staying at this historic property was certainly a treat. The property is lovely and inviting. We enjoyed a delicious, full breakfast in a cheerful dining room along with other guests. Really enjoyed learning about the history of the property. Would love to visit again someday. Highly recommend.

This is the 3rd stay here over the last 3 years. Very tranquil, quiet, and relaxing. I have stayed in three different rooms and they all have great western ambiance. Nice trails around the property to take a walk and view the Tooth of Time or meadows with deer, antelope, and a bear, along with the occasional cow or horse are roaming about. Highly recommended.

Top notch

The stay was above and beyond. Even though I went for work my nights were so pleasant I didn’t want to return home. Cozy! It reminded me of my parents’s Tudor style house growing up. So peaceful. I saw deer eating food nearby then two adorable dairy cows. Very clean devoid of any strange smells to mask anything. Impeccable service. I got a breakfast baggie for bc I had to go to work early which was yummy. Thank you very much.
