This stay was unique, for sure. It wasn't awful, but it certainly had some quirks. We were notified when we called months ago that the slide wasn't working. That's fine; we were there for a conference and didn't care. There was an issue with keys while we were there. There wasn't a door on the shower. The phone wasn't working, and maintenance came by and said they "fixed" it, but 5 minutes later, when I checked it, it wasn't working. We had to have the toilet plunged twice. The pool area is a veritable sauna. My husband's glasses were constantly fogging up from it. The decor is dated. There was an outer door handle missing, so you had to take other doors to get around to your room. The facility is large, so it's a bit tricky at first to find your way around. That being said, I have to say that the mattress was very comfy and we slept very well. The shower pressure was also excellent, which is very important to me. There are lots of places within a few minutes to eat, including a little restaurant in the hotel (which we didn't try, so I can't speak to that quality). There's a Hy-Vee less than 10 minutes away for quick pick ups. Conference area was often a bit too hot. It was OK for a short stay, but I don't think I'd choose this one to come to again.

Nice place. Bed needs normal size pillows. Bathroom needs larger towels. Breakfast not that great. Ran out of omelettes 45 minutes into breakfast.

The front staff loudly say your room number, which is a safety concern - typically they should not say the room # at all. I was asked if I wanted housekeeping and I said no, and I came back to my room to find housekeeping in the room. My room could have used a fresh coat of paint (pretty dingy and dinged up). As far as what I enjoyed: Huge room for the value. Great location-conveniently close to the highway but also conveniently close to SO many great restaurants and shopping.

It wasn't a big property and I liked that. We went during the holidays. Thanksgiving and Christmas. Both visits were great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will stay again in the future.

We stayed in the one bedroom renovated room- 308 The kitchen needs additional lighting - too dark. The bathroom also needs lighting extra lighting, especially to put on makeup. Walls are thin- I could near people above me walking around while I’m trying to sleep. Breakfast was ok-24 hour coffee a plus We booked this hotel because if location and the separate bedroom from living room.

Staff wasn’t very friendly. Acted like we were in their way or an inconvenience any time we had an interaction with them. Room was not swept. My son almost choked on jelly beans he found on the floor from the previous person. We had to call and ask for the elevator to be cleaned because there was food left all over it.

Not enough hot water for more than one shower. Upon check-in asked if we would like housekeeping since we were there for 2 days and we said yes. Never came! Breakfast was extremely limited choices and other patrons were literally touching all the muffins with their hands.... Would not stay here again.

Decent hotel for a two night stay.
Staff was courteous. I like that they would only service the room if you asked for it to be done. Only downside is that the HVAC unit was a bit noisy and I could never get the hear quite right. The free breakfast was a nice perk.
