We chose this property for its size (4 bedrooms) and location (Wrigleyville) as we wanted to do some holiday activities in the area. The host had great communication regarding policies, procedures, check-in/out, etc. We were pretty disappointed, though, that the fireplace didn’t work despite it being listed in the property description. We were there on a very snowy weekend and a fireplace would have been a nice touch. Beyond that, you should know that you need to run the shower for a very, very long time to get hot water to finally come out the tap. The kitchen is very modern - the drawer microwave is fancy but not too powerful. Finally, it needs some upkeep and some easy fixes. There was a toilet seat that was barely attached, a broken chair, a broken vase, a king size bed with only k e side table/lamp, etc. My guess is this is an investment property and not a family owned unit. They have it primarily for Cubs games and aren’t as concerned as other VRBO owners who actually rent out their own vacation properties. So, just know that. It’s fine. It’s clean. It’s well appointed. It’s in a great location. It’s very expensive and if I were renting it for a baseball game experience I’d understand. November? Not sure it was worth the price.
