It could use a few updates here and there but it had rustic charm and an amazing location. We spent most of our time on the huge deck overlooking the ocean and watching happy surfers. The beds were super comfortable and it was perfect for our girls weekend. I appreciated the level of communication and ease of check in and out. Right next to the public access, requiring you to go around the front of the house and next door, easy peasy. the deck out the back is also a plus to the experience As a beach house this place is excellent; no fuss, no muss, meaning a little dated but enjoyable. The deck was great to sun on and still have the Ocean feel to it, as there were so many surfers that you really couldn’t get in the water. A few boards on the deck need to be replaced, and the grill legs are rusted and needs to be replaced. Other than that we enjoyed our stay here and will consider it if we go back to Folly Beach. ##### Greg R. It has been here for a while so gently used. If there were any issues or questions, response was 100% helpful. I would recommend it most comfortable for no more than 4 people to spend the night here unless you bring an air mattress. Nov 6, 2023 #### Ocean getaway Loved our quaint bungalow on the Atlantic. The deck was outstanding. Watched the sunrise daily and early morning surfers from the deck. House was comfortable and well furnished. Beds were comfy. Plenty of towels were supplied. Kitchen was very well equipped. Loved the sweet and friendly town of Folly Beach as well as the proximity to Charleston. Don’t miss the bird sanctuary at the end of E Ashley. ##### JoAnn W. Oct 20, 2023 #### Repeat renter We have stayed many times at Someplace Else and love it. This particular trip was short (2 days) since we were attending a wedding on the Island and just needed a place that we could stay to avoid driving home after a long day. It provided a little extra downtime forfor our family to connect after the wedding. The weather wasn’t great but we still enjoyed our stay. The house is showing some wear and could use some updates but the location is awesome. We appreciate the welcome wine and cookies and early checkin.
