  • Our destination wedding was held on the island of #crete #greece in #chania, which is the Western side of the island. We had a total of 30 guests from 9 different countries all over the world, so to make it special, we created a week of wedding festivities rather than only one day! We had an activity day with all of the guests where we chartered a private bus to show us some of the great attractions and hidden gems of Chania. One of our stops was at Stavros Beach where Zorba the Greek was filmed! We had some traditional Greek mezethes (tapas or appetizers), which consisted of lots of #seafood ! I don't know about you, but I could stare at this plate all day long. Very close to Zorba's beach. Calm area perfect to relax away from tourism spots. Clean and cosy rooms. Everything was fine!

It is a very small apartment, but has everything you need for a beach vacation and puts you in a walking distance from one of the sweetest beaches in Chania / Akrotiri. It is very quiet and safe, 150 m from the beach and 100 m from the mountain trail that you could explore in the mornings before it gets hot. Lera cave trail is good in the mornings until about 9 am. Amazing view of the area from there. There are also a couple of fantastic restaurants right next to the beach - Google the reviews please. The owner is super-friendly and filled our every request. It was a very nice gesture to have a good coffee and a bottle of nice local white wine in the fridge for us. Owners daughters brought us grapes one evening which was a sweet surprise.
