The sunset views were a stunning end to every evening and the clouds rolling over the hills during the day were spectacular. "I stayed with my partner for his birthday and we had a great time. The property was clean and the pools were refreshing/relaxing. All the staff was very nice. Only complaint was I wish they did more for birthdays. I booked a dinner months prior with a note for birthday and also called before my reservation to remind them, but still had to ask for a dessert in which they brought out as if any other plate. Didn’t really make my fiancé feel special. But other than that everything was awesome!"

"I cannot say enough good things about Tifakara. Our stay was magical. From the wildlife off our back balcony (the rare treat of seeing a whole troop of monkeys!), the frog tour was thrilling, the daily included breakfast delicious and a perfect way to start a day of adventures in La Fortuna, to the luxurious accommodations (I’m forever spoiled by the remote controlled bidet toilet). All that would have been more than enough. But by far the best part about Tifakara is the staff. They were warm and accommodating and attended to us without feeling obtrusive. Everyone was beyond friendly and the warmth and genuineness was palpable. We loved every moment of our stay at Tifakara and if we’re ever fortunate enough to return to La Fortuna we would stay nowhere else."

"Hotel Boutique Casa del Río was one of the highlights of our Costa Rica trip! Nestled in the heart of the rainforest, the property is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for nature lovers. Our room was beautiful, and waking up to the soothing sound of the rushing river each morning was incredibly peaceful. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh tropical fruits, fresh juices, and a flavorful traditional Costa Rican breakfast. The view of the volcano from the restaurant in the morning was breathtaking. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel, and the food was equally delicious and full of flavor. What truly made our stay exceptional was the service. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to please, but Ramses and Maria deserve special recognition. They went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay and were the true definition of exceptional customer service. This was honestly one of the best hotel service experiences I’ve had to date. Beautiful surroundings, delicious food, amazing views, and outstanding hospitality. I highly recommend Casa del Río and will definitely be back! 🌿🇨🇷"
