The grounds & views of the ocean and landscape are magnificent. Elyin & Joselyn, the on-site staff, took great care of us. They were available, even after hours, to help with any issues that arose in the house, like a fridge that broke. A few things to note that may help with expectations to make your stay more enjoyable: 1\. This house sits at the top of a long uphill and winding road. It took about 10 min to reach the house with a van and it is a really rocky ride not made for people with gentle stomachs. You absolutely need an experienced driver and 4x4 to navigate, particularly at night so take that into consideration if you rent a car. 2\. You are in a jungle nature filled area and you will experience all of it. There were a ton of bugs, frogs, snakes, spiders, geckos, etc. You must remember you’re in their habitat, but it can be a little concerning at first. Particularly in the bungalows where there are a lot of ants and you sometimes wake up to bugs in the bed with you. We heard the monkeys more than we saw them but they are definitely around. 3\. It was a little difficult to find a chef to cook at the house, though Alejandra gave great recos. Belly Fed Better was our favorite and we highly recommend Chef Frank . Carmen cooked breakfast for us daily and the tacos she served were our favorite of her dishes. Also, if you or someone in your group speaks Spanish it helps with the booking. 4\. Be sure to follow the house rules and close the doors at 5 and keep the lights low to limit bugs. The open air concept of the house actually works better when the doors are open and it was a little difficult to understand how to cool down the living area after dark, but spending evenings on the patio is extremely enjoyable and comfortable. The house was well stocked and all rooms had unique touches. The bungalows are cool hideaways, but one has stairs to access so keep this in mind depending on the accessibility needs of your group. Both had portable air conditioners. The beds were firm so be aware if that is a concern. There was plenty of room for group of 8, but we spent the majority of our time on the incredible back porch. Complete with multiple sun beds and hammocks as well as the hot tub and pool, enjoying the Sonos system, it is the perfect place to lounge. Last, Alejandra was amazing! I would highly recommend staying here! We stayed at the Casa Blue property with 5 couples for 11 nights and it was perfect. The house and the property were stunning and private and you are close to several beaches, restaurants and grocery stores. We decided not to rent a car and used shuttle services instead on the days we wanted to go anywhere which worked out great for us.
