This hotel is a perfect little get away, it’s a hidden oasis in the middle of the old walled city. The front is very unassuming. When you enter the lobby, you’re welcomed by calm and peaceful atmosphere and wonderful front desk staff. The staff was fantastic in making everything happen. Excellent stay and great staff. I asked for a quiet room and my room was quiet. I had the best sleep of my my one month stay in Colombia. Very convenient location as well. I will return for sure. Some areas for improvement: a little hectic during breakfast sometimes so I think they need to add more staff during busy season. It was a beautiful boutique hotel with meticulously decorated rooms, restaurant, rooftop patio and pool, and checkin area. The view from the patio and pool arguably offers the best view of old and new Cartagena in the city. For a multilingual Black queer couple staying at the hotel for a few days, it was a breathtaking experience.

Great location in the centre of Getsemani and close to the old town. The rooms are clean and modern with great bathrooms and storage. The pool is the perfect place for a siesta on a hot day and the staff are excellent.

Hotel Capellan was a great experience. The modern room was extremely comfortable and clean. The staff on site were courteous and friendly. My requests were answered with promptness. We enjoyed the location as it was a bit off the tourist track but readily walkable. Needless to say, we will return to Capellan the next time we are in Cartagena. Thank you to Leidu, Reynaldo, Claire and Mayling - you were all wonderful !
