Step out onto the large deck and enjoy the serenity of the mountains and a filtered lake view in a lovely neighborhood. With special, old western artifacts throughout, this themed home provides a cozy stay any time of year! Upgraded kitchen features gourmet, commercial style "Wolfe" gas range under vaulted ceiling and plenty of counter space for those who like to cook. Living area boasts a large wood burning stove, plenty of plush seating, a new, internet ready 50" Sony 3D HDTV, and reading/sitting nook under the stairs. Full bath and bedroom with Queen bed on entry level. 2 Single beds in loft upstairs, 3/4 bath, and back master bedroom with King and small TV plus storybook window alcove. Great grassy area for the kids, and propane BBQ for the chef! Includes use of Homeowner's Association Lakeside Picnic area and shared pier for loading & unloading your boat. CFIA beach is about a half mile from the home. Wireless internet also available (but not guaranteed!) Please note, this home is on a hill, so All Wheel Drive/4WD/chains are highly recommended in the winter! Parking is limited to 4 spaces. Some Highlights include: Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time. The layout of the space worked for our family and we appreciated the natural fabric linens on the beds. Very warm and welcoming and old timey. Kitchen well stocked with any essentials, furniture older, but very comfortable, beds were great and decor was heirloom mountain cabin. Rooms are small, but felt cozy rather than cramped. Snow outside was up to the 2nd story...made for dramatic views as well as a feeling of warm coziness inside. You can see the lake a bit through the trees - it was beautiful. Excellent communication with rental company. Plenty of house information available for TV, internet etc. We will happily return. It was cozy, warm and had all the essentials for the perfect weekend (except for the pillows). Ideal for family gatherings. A long table for games, a TV with all the cable stations, restful couches and beds upstairs where you can grab a few moments of quietude. Lots of charm and comfort without the feel of an over-done Tahoe "theme" rental. The house is comfortable and the site is generous and private. We had a delightfully long & quiet weekend. The management company, Hauserman Rental Group, is supremely professional and helpful. Can't wait to return. ##### David M. This is probably one of the coolest houses I’ve stayed in, and I’ve stayed in a lot! Beautiful property, with access to beautiful private beach where we got to run around with our dog and have a friend pick us up in their boat thanks to the private dock. The cabin itself is so cozy, with a beautiful balcony where you can see the lake through the trees, and I absolutely LOVED all the native artwork and antiques throughout the house! There were so many interesting pieces around the house... the upstairs bathroom mirror definitely took me by surprise. Would definitely love to stay here again, we had an amazing time. ##### Briannah H. We felt like we were in a a Ralph Lauren commercial! Neighborhood is quiet , and lovely to walk. We had many fierce after dinner games going until midnight around the natural wood dining table. Amazing cooks kitchen, with a wonderful stove, it was a pleasure to stay home and make our meals at the cabin! This one is a beauty! ##### Kimberly H. Rockwood, however, is a home where the owners stay. Lots of homey touches (a lot more than in the photos)...the space was very comfortable. The only disappointments were how long it took to warm it up (about 24 hours) and the short showers because of, apparently, a small hot water heater. On a side note, the manager, Hauserman Realty, was very helpful with a small issue. ##### Barrett M. It was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need during our stay. We loved all the interesting & unique decorations throughout the house. It was so fun just taking it all in! The location was perfect for us. We came for skiing, so it was convenient for Squaw & Alpine Meadows. This a perfect house to relax in after a hard, long day of fun! ##### STEVE H. There was a day of serious snowfall and our 2 wheel drive van w/ chains only made it half way up the short driveway. But, that was enough to get us off the road and the rest of the stay couldn't have been more perfect. ##### Katie O. We were indeed surprised by the stuff that they carried in the kitchen. The only disappointment was that the lake was not walkable nor could we see the lake from the cabin.
