The location of the house is unique. You enjoy the character of the village with its festivals and are only a few minutes by car to the beach. Piscine à débordement avec vue top. Chambres très spacieuses, maison au top, rien à redire. Propreté. Accueil de la propriétaire, une dame Allemande très gentille qui nous a même accompagnés sur la marina pour nous montrer les restaurants et lieux intéressants à proximité. Emplacement idéal à Calheita, partie très ensoleillée de l'île, à 40 min de Funchal, 30 min de Porto Moniz, et 30 min de la montagne avec des super randos dans les levada. Que du bonheur, Madère est une île géniale et cette maison un super point pour rayonner. Je recommande vivement! ##### MARINE C. We loved the living room/kitchen wild opened on the terrace and pool in front of the ocean. The place is quiet, and so peaceful! Shops are closed, and a lot to do in Caletha marina (5minutes by car) : super diving center, whales and dolphins watching, restaurants...). Jessica gives us many good advices and recommandations ! The villa was well equipped, very clean and had amazing views. Jorge and his family were very helpful and friendly. There are a couple of restaurants and a small shop that are walkable but everything else is a drive away so would recommend a hire car as essential. The villa was equipped with everything we needed and was lovely and spacious. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the thick curtains to stop children waking too early. The children particularly loved the pool and we enjoyed being able to relax on the loungers and outdoor seating whilst they were splashing about. The views from the master bedroom balcony were lovely and we spent every evening up there after the children had gone to bed watching the ever changing sky - blissful! We enjoyed being able to get down quickly to Calheta to go to the beach and the easy accessibility to everywhere on the island that we wanted to visit. The local shop is also very handy and has pretty much everything you could need. We also had a delicious evening meal at the local vineyard. Jorge was very responsive for anything we needed and gave us some excellent recommendations of places to eat and visit - the whale watching tour he recommended was an absolute highlight for all of us. Overall, a brilliant stay! ##### Sara P.
