It comfortably houses up to six people. Villa 22 has become one of The Palms' most in-demand homes because of its superior equipment, unequaled privacy and great extra perks that other homes in the complex don't offer. Casa Chocolate, as the name implies, is decorated in a chocolate theme. A careful and patient collection process for the art pieces has made for an entertaining, cheerful and pretty look for the entire villa. Modern contemporary furniture with a tropical flair is not just delightful to look at, it is very comfortable as well. A beautifully appointed, comprehensively equipped gourmet kitchen lets you prepare spectacular meals. Outfitted with high-end Viking and Sub-Zero appliances, and all the cooking gadgets one could possibly imagine. This kitchen is a chef's dream! Dimmable LED lighting throughout the villa allows for great lighting with very little heat; this is also another unique feature of Casa Chocolate. Casa Chocolate is also equipped with the latest technology and communications goodies: High-speed WiFi and wired Internet, free unlimited long distance calling, Smart TVs in every room; digital cable, Apple TV, Blu-Ray and a high-quality Home Theater system in the living room. There are several usb charger-equipped power outlets downstairs and upstairs. The living room also doubles as a sleeping area with a Queen-size sleeper sofa. A complete downstairs bathroom makes it very comfortable to sleep downstairs. The downstairs porch is the best on the property, with a wonderful swing chair, a lounger and two easy chairs with footstools. Fully folding windows allow opening to the entire width of the villa. The Master Bedroom is equipped with a brand-new King-size Sealy Hybrid Premium bed, brand new ultra-quiet AC, ceiling fan, and Breakfast Station with mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker. 55-inch 3D television with Blu-Ray player, Apple TV, sound bar and standard cable. The en-suite bathroom is done in luxurious Costa Rican stone and has an enclosed multi-head shower and commode, plus a large jetted tub. Dual sinks with great lighting and lots of storage space. Off the Master bathroom is the walk-in closet. The view from the Master Bedroom is stunning, and the fully folding windows open up to the entire width of the room out to a spacious balcony. Telescopic pleated bug screens let in the soothing ocean sounds while keeping the critters out while you sleep. Bedroom 2 has a super comfortable Queen-size bed, 40 inch smart TV, ceiling fan and en-suite bathroom appointed with beautiful native stone. It has also just been fitted with a new, ultra quiet AC system. It also offers a large loft that sleeps one child or tween. The loft's lighting can be controlled from up in the loft or down in the bedroom. The Palms complex also boasts a complete oceanside gym, adult-only round pool, spectacular infinity pool with bar and food service, and a BBQ area with two large professional Weber grills. Lots of beachfront and poolside seating with umbrellas for the free use of our guests. Don’t feel like cooking? Many terrific restaurants are only minutes away. Location is excellent with the pools and beach steps away which were never crowded. The grounds are perfectly maintained; beach area is pristine. The concierge staff are first rate in terms of texting and helping with any requests and recommendations. Anthony the pool bartender is great, cranks out the smoothies for the kids and cocktails for us - place embodies the pura vida spirity. Condo had all the amenities needed, beautiful king size master with walk out balcony - deck. My only critique is that people "save" oceanside chairs by going out in the morning putting stuff on them whether or not they are using them. and then one time, someone threw my kids stuff off the chair and said "we have been here all day" - so the chair situation is tedious at times but the grounds guys will help you find a spot - I would just say general guest etiquette around it could be better. ##### Joel G. It has all the comforts of home and is loving taken care of by the owner Carlos and The Palms staff. What I really loved was the fact that even though we were there over one of the busiest weeks of the year, we never felt we were smashed into a crowded resort. We had no problems finding lounge chairs. At other resorts, we would get up early and have to stake out a spot. That was not necessary here. There was enough room to spread out and play our multiple beach and pool games. We could even play frisbee without feeling we would hit or run into someone. We took advantage of filling out the pre arrival form. It was great to have drinks and food there upon our arrival. The woman who does the shopping for you was our favorite among the staff. Having boogie boards and paddle boards for free use was a bonus. The waves were a blast! We enjoyed the beautiful beach and amazing pool so much that nobody wanted to leave and go outside of the resort. I regret a little that we didn't do one more excursion...but we felt so relaxed and at home at The Palms that is was hard to leave. If you like to play tennis there is actually a decent tennis court at a resort down the beach. For a small fee you can hit a few balls in the early morning or early evening shade. Thanks for letting us stay at your place Carlos! The kids enjoyed your chocolate. They had so much fun taste testing the treats you left for us. The villa is beautifully decorated and very spacious. The staff at the Palms are extremely friendly and very accommodating. The property felt very safe and was maticulously maintained. The beach is just steps away and gorgeous. The Palms is at the southern end of Playa Flamingo Beach which is about a mile long and very quiet. It’s great for walking, running, or playing in the waves. There are a handful of restaurants within walking distance, which is nice if you just want to stay near the villa and relax. Not only was it beautiful and comfortable, but we did not realize there would be a staff that would bring amazing food and drinks to the pool or beach or the unit. Even more, all of the people were genuinely warm and made us feel like family while we were there (my wife adored Leo). Our kids LOVED the pools (ages 13, 11, and 7) and the paddle boards, boogie boards, etc. Lastly, as you know we came in on a red eye and had not slept all night, and you arranged for us to stay in another unit so we could sleep until your unit was available later that day. You are a great host (we loved the Danta Chocolate). I'm sorry I did not get a chance to meet you the morning of our arrival. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us. Our family of four just returned from a wonderfully relaxing stay at Casa Chocolate at The Palms. What a well-appointed and beautiful condo that is steps from two amazing pools (including a gorgeous infinity pool) and the most beautiful beach! We lacked nothing. From the moment we arrived, we were well taken care of. Staying here is like combining the best of a resort hotel, with the privacy and convenience of a luxury condo. We sent a grocery list ahead of our arrival and found our kitchen stocked with all the food and beverages we had asked for, as well as some delicious coffee and chocolates, compliments of our owner. ...Room service each day and a kind staff at the pool bar to bring lunch to your porch or your lounge chair on the beach/at the pool. ...An amazing masseuse on property waiting to help you unwind and relax while listening to the waves crash onto the shore. ...Sunsets that are unforgettable. It's a really special and unique place, tucked away in a gorgeous cove. It's hard to tell if you are in Costa Rica, or Hawaii...it's just THAT beautiful. Also, our daughter left her most treasured stuffed animal at the Villa, and we did not discover it until we had flown back to the USA. She was devastated. But, our friends at The Palms went out of their way to locate "Lambie" and ensure she was safely mailed and returned to our daughter with the utmost care. They even followed up with a call to check on everyone. You simply cannot beat that kind of service...on top of view, amenities, food and accommodations.
