Nonteto and Maphuthi are simply the best!! They calmed my anxieties during the booking process as the demand was very high during our stay. They also make our checking-in seamless.
The accommodation was good, especially the customer service, which was great, and the menu options. However, coordination between reservations and restaurants needs to be improved. The rooms were advertised as inclusive of breakfast. However, the restaurant seems to operate with different information, which creates confusion and embarrassment.

Reasonable price and stay
We stayed in the chalet part of the resort.
Place was clean and comfortable with full amenities. Staff was friendly.
Unfortunately beds were smaller than expected as we had 2 little ones so had a tight squeeze (executive suite on web says 1 queen 1 double but it was 2 doubles).
WiFi did not work - not sure if it because the chalets are much further away from main hotel or if there was a network issue.
Anyways,
The restaurant was lovely and I thought The price was reasonable.

I recently stayed at this property while visiting Pilanesberg and Sun City, and overall, it was a decent experience. The location is the standout feature—just 12-15 minutes from the Bakubung Gate of Pilanesberg National Park and the Sun City entrance. This made it very convenient for early morning game drives and exploring the nearby attractions.
The property itself is definitely showing its age. While it is kept as clean as possible given its dated infrastructure, it’s clear that some updates would go a long way in enhancing the guest experience. Additionally, the hospitality service was slower than expected, which could be frustrating at times.
That said, if you’re looking for a clean and budget-friendly option close to the area’s main attractions, this place does the job. Just be prepared to overlook its age and exercise a bit of patience with the service.

Disappointing
We drove from Johannesburg and arrive at about 1:30pm. Check in is at 3:00pm so we knew we might have to wait and were allowed to sit by the pool; we also took this opportunity to book two game drives with one being that afternoon. Sadly the pool was rather green and unappealing so we decided that we would not be making use of it (and worry that they have a water park under construction but cannot seem to properly maintain their pool). A drink and a chat later it was 3:00pm so we checked at the desk to see if our chalet was ready. The desk staff didn't know and had to call the manager. Our game drive was meant to be at 3:30pm so we really wanted to get into the chalet to put away food and unpack the car before leaving for three hours.
Ten minutes later we were told our chalet was ready. When we arrived the staff were still cleaning but at least we could get the car unloaded. So while it all worked out it was rushed and not the best start.
Our even game drive was great and our guide Tian was awesome. Nothing but praise for him!
The next morning we had another game drive booked through the hotel at 5:30am. We arrive ten minutes early and no one was at the desk. The appointed time came and went and still no one. We found a security guard who called someone. At 6:00am still nothing and no staff. Finally someone arrived at 6:10am and had to make some calls. We were forgotten and woke up early for nothing. They put us on the 8:30am drive and offered us a cup of coffee. Not good.
The place is beautiful but improvement needed on linen its old.blankents as well. No tv in the room and wifi thats bad.but overall the place is good i liked it.
The room is terrible they say it’s a four sleeper but it’s a one bedroom and they put beds in the sitting room for kids and there is only one bathroom kids must go through the parents bedroom to go to the bathroom. it’s too expensive for what they offering. They don’t mention the R500 deposit , which if you make their sheets dirty they make you pay extra and don’t even give back your deposit horrible place to stay

Very neat - comfort needs attention
Very clean and tidy, with the basics provided as expected (self catering). We arrived at 15:00, to be told there was a problem with electricity supply to the chalets. It would appear that only the hotel has backup supply.
Load shedding was scheduled for 19:00 - 21:00, and only came on just after 21:00, so we were left without electricity from 15:00 to 21:00, with no means to cook, or see in the dark Load shedding was scheduled for 03:00-05:00 on the morning of our departure, and we needed to be out of there by 6:30. This made it a challenge as there was no hot water to quickly shower before we had to leave (for an event close by).
It would be great if there were alternative forms of lighting and cooking, eg. candles or perhaps a gas cooker, or perhaps to advise customers before hand that there are no provisions for load shedding. We had to ask for candles and matches/lighters to at least have light in the room.
Overall not a bad place to stay, but more effort can be made regards to comfort, considering we are paying for a service.
The main building/ restuarant/ hotel and pool looks great but we stayed in the chalets which they neglect needs maintenance. Our front door had a gap which let frogs in at night, shower leaks all iver bathroom no bathmat and only 2 towels in a 4 bed.
Cleaniness was good.

We were originally booked into a self catering chalet which was nowhere near the standard we wanted or would have expected. We upgraded and paid the extra to stay in the hotel on a bed, breakfast and dinner basis. This review is based upon the hotel and NOT the chalet which would not have received any stars
It was clean, but seemed that everything was closed like the bar. The breakfast didnt Then activities that they had were to expensive like quad biking for 30 minutes.
looked like there was anything put out at breakfast
