The Grassmarket Hotel was ideally located to explore the sights of Edinburgh and walking distance to Waverley Station.
All the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and I was very impressed to get a free upgrade from a single to double room.
The room was as described, cozy and all the amenities were excellent.
Also, having direct access to Biddy Milligans next door was excellent. The hotel staff also offered to include breakfast.
Which I thought was great.
I’m from Glasgow, but I feel so grateful that I have two such excellent cities near to me.

Staff were very accommodating and fast to reply.
Place was clean. Only thing is the construction of the building is poor so you can hear neighbours.
There was a safety issue with the barrier for the balcony , staff advised they will fix asap

The room was clean and location was amazing. However, the shower had black mold like chunks coming off into the shower as you’re showering. There was not enough toilet paper or kitchen rolls. The staff responded via message and sent someone but took till the last day to get a roll of toilet paper we had to buy our own. We also requested one more towel and never got that. The location was great and overall rooms were nice just wish there was a better system to get extra needed items.
