This is part of a private community, Bayville, where you will have access to a children’s play area, tennis court, and ping pong table, as well as the community dock & beach. This is a paradise for adults and children alike where the children will have no end to fun swimming, observing nature, and collecting souvenirs to remember their vacation with. The cottage has a modern, fully equipped kitchen with a dining area that is perfect for gathering. The upstairs has two bedrooms with a queen-sized bed in each, while the downstairs has two double bunk bedrooms. There are two full bathrooms and a spacious laundry room. As you exit the living room you come onto a deck with a dining table and chairs. Twenty feet in front of the deck is the gate to a 40-foot by 20-foot pool overlooking the ocean and private dock. The dock is available for your use and comes complete with a picnic table and stairs down to the beach. In addition to the dock, a mooring is available for your boat if desired. Bayville is located within the town of Boothbay Harbor, so dining and all town attractions are within easy reach of this special occasion. They can even be accessed via the trails mentioned above. The pool is not heated and closes in late September. Please note that it is shared with the owners who will use it from time to time when not being used by you. Children are not permitted in the pool area without an adult. The pool is shared with the owner from time to time. Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere on the property. Fire pits are strictly prohibited on entire grounds. It\`s a very friendly area. A quick walk to play tennis or visit a small playground area for kids. Cars drive very slowly as people often walk with their pets and kids. Neighbors are close by but very friendly. Amazing views! IMPORTANT: To ensure peace of mind during your stay, we offer two options for damage protection: a small, one-time non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver (our most convenient and guest-preferred option) or a fully refundable Security Deposit, returned after your stay if no damage is reported. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll be prompted to complete this step. Courtesy quiet hours start at 10 p.m. per local ordinance. We felt welcomed at check in where we were handed a beautiful gift from the owner and noticed the RI flag flying from the flagpole! The location is perfect, a short drive to town and the grocery store. The waterfront setting is gorgeous and we enjoyed morning workouts on the dock and taking out our kayaks and paddleboards. The kids loved fishing from the dock and dips in the pool after hiking and beach time! The owner was wonderful, and very responsive to any requests. The house was very clean and completely as advertised. The kitchen was pretty and well outfitted with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and made up with crisp white linens. The bunk rooms were small but very cozy and cute. The shared bath between the two very nice upstairs bedrooms did require some coordination but it all worked out fine. The pool was lovely and the view was wonderful. We rented kayaks and a stand up paddle board and really enjoyed exploring right from the property's dock. We liked the location - easy to get into Boothbay Harbor but removed from the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed a day trip to Monhegan Island and highly recommend it. East Boothbay General Store is great for sandwiches and breakfast treats. And so is the Bakery right out from Bayville on Ocean Point Road. ##### Eileen H. Be aware the two queen bedrooms each have a second door into a bathroom that doesn’t lock so you have to have good communication to avoid embarrassment. 😂 It is a nice and well equipped kitchen. Could use a replacement of the grill and some more dinner plates. We had a miscommunication a few days before because we were traveling with our dogs which had been approved previously but they have renovated and the house is no longer pet friendly. We were allowed to squeak by since it was previously approved and we covered all the furniture, but it seems that the place will not be dog-friendly in the future so be aware if you see it listed as dog-friendly.
