Full Kitchen! Heat&AC! 5min to town, 8min to Garden! Come enjoy the peaceful tranquility of this lakefront retreat just 5 minutes from the quaint seaside shops and restaurants of Boothbay Harbor or 8 minutes from the Botanical Gardens! The rental is a private, bright, spacious, separate apartment in the lower level of the home with its own entrance, tall 9-ft ceilings, and LOTS of windows and glass to see the beautiful water and sunsets from each room with heat and air conditioning. Enjoy star gazing, fishing, swimming, or choose out of our mix of tandom or single kayaks to explore the mile-long lake waters. Walk out the French doors to the stone patio and grass, listen to the loons and the wind in the trees, watch the sun sparkle off the lake, or take the short path that leads down the hill to the private dock with swim ladder and take a dip, lay out on a towel in the sun, sit on Adirondack chairs on the lakeside deck, or perch on a wooden swing near the water's edge. The large bedroom includes a queen-sized memory foam bed and a single daybed situated nicely to look out over the water. Other guests may choose the couch/chaise in the den with self serve hideaway queen size cool gel memory foam bed. The unit has a small but nicely equipped kitchen with appliances including stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator w/freezer, coffee makers, steamer, instantpot and blender for your convenience along with some common spices. Bathroom has dual sinks and tub/shower combination. Enjoy a private entrance on the water side of the home, a space separated from owner’s part of the house by a locked door, heat and air conditioning on it's own Nest zone, and parking for 1 vehicle (or 2 if we have advanced notice and squish). WIFI, HD antenna, and a smart TV with Roku and DVD player included. Games and puzzles line the closet shelves to encourage an unplugged experience. Property is located on a quiet dead-end road that leads to sidewalks into town. The beautiful oceanfront route to town takes only 5 minutes to drive in a car or about 20 if walking. This is a great starting location for exploring the rest of the Boothbay region as well! Take in area walking trails, choose an ocean boat tour to see picturesque islands and lighthouses, visit one of the area's rocky beaches, or see the nearby Botanical Gardens. Whole house automatic backup generator assures very little chance of being without power. The main part of the home is a part-time vacation retreat for the owners and the price of the rental is lower than market value which reflects the possibility that you may occasionally hear signs of life from the rest of the house, but don’t worry! Many of our great 5 star reviews were from weeks we were present. The interior was spacious, very clean and our host provided everything that we could possibly need. This property has such a homey feel to it. Once again it didn’t disappoint. The place is beautiful, quiet, and has everything you need. We enjoyed as much time by the water as we could taking in the Eagles, loons and the occasional seagull communal bath!! It’s so close to town that one could probably walk if they were energetic, but that’s not us. Once again my sister and her fiancé joined us for a few days because they also love it there. Would highly recommend for those that want a relaxing stay. Every one of us enjoyed this place. From the kayaks to the fishing or just enjoying the peacefulness from sunup to sundown this place was wonderful! This was our second stay and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Boothbay. The apartment is spacious, charming, and well equipped. We loved sitting by the lake watching the birds, and kayaking using the ones provided. In Boothbay our favorites were Cabbage Island Clambake, the wonderful two story bookstore with every kind of book plus toys and games, Mung Bean, an artisan's collective, and eating at the waterfront restaurants. I can't recommend Wendy's place any more highly. Plus, she is super nice and friendly! ##### Susan B. We felt like we were in our own little sanctuary. Wendy has done wonders with the downstairs of her house. Spending the morning drinking coffee while looking out the French doors to the lake was so peaceful. The huge bathroom with double sinks worked out well when my sister joined us. We spent hours by the water enjoying the wildlife. The place was supplied with everything we needed and showed a lot of special touches that Wendy has put into the place. Lovely view across a lake. Quiet location with beautifully decorated space. The hosts were very thoughtful which enhanced our stay. The lodging is ideal for 2 people who may have 1-2 children. There are lots of games and Lego in the closets, dock on the lake, and outdoor grill. Note: there is no dishwasher or clothes washer, only one bathroom but it is LARGE, and the refrigerator is NOT full size. If these are only inconveniences than consider this a great place to visit in Boothbay, Maine ##### Pam F.
