Central location Log cabin with wonderful wrap around porch, fully accessorized kitchen, gas grill, Blackstone and easy light gas fireplace. Great retreat for after a long hike, day of skiing or exploring nearby Boone, Blowing Rock or Banner Elk. 10 minutes to Boone, 15 minutes to Blowing Rock or Banner Elk. Great layout for families or couples! Our circular driveway is flat with only a few steps up to the porch making the cabin easy to access. Main floor has a queen bedroom, king bedroom (with a smart TV) and full bath. Upstairs in loft area there is a king bed and full bath. Note, the staircase to loft is a regular, carpeted stair that is easy to walk up and down. Wrap around gated porch has rocking chairs, corn hole and other games for quests to use along with a gas grill and Blackstone. House is comfortable and quiet. Truly a great retreat! Note: We have one exterior camera for security. The kids loved the yard and rocks to climb on, the covered porch was great for a rainy/drizzly afternoon, and the carpeted stairs and loft area made for a very cozy and safe play area. Getaway I want to start the review by saying I NEVER leave reviews... but I always relay on them when making a booking decision for myself. We almost did not book this place because it did not have any reviews but we are so glad we did and knew we needed to leave one! This trip was with 2 families, 4 adults and 2 toddlers. The house was so clean and provided everything needed while still having plenty of space to store any food or supplies that you may bring. It was easy to access and though pretty close to town was still tucked away. We loved that there was a back way to Blowing Rock so we didn't have to fight traffic in town of we didn't want to. I had some communication with the owner prior to arriving and she was always very timely with responces. The house included some of the nicest touches with a welcome gift, treats on the beds and various games like corn hole, a grill, and fire pit provided.
