Clean, great location, walkable to everywhere, train or tram station , great breakfast , friendly staff. My son is studying in IUBH, perfect place for me when I am visiting. I was here last year too when it was Maxx hotel. Yard makes you feel like home !

A greatly changed hotel

This hotel is so changed, and some aspects of our stay were so unpleasant that I prefer, in a possible open review, not to go into much detail. I'll mention two things however. One that we found ourselves locked out on arrival; the other that we encountered quite remarkable rudeness and hostility from 'some' members of staff. Other than that, we really want to put the whole week in this hotel behind us.

Continued excellence - with blackbirds

One indication of a good hotel is that it put things right if a problem occurs, I think. And this is what happened at the beginning of our 10 day stay after a mix-up with our booking. We have stayed a number of times before at this hotel, and for good reason; though it is again under new management. But overall it is still excellent generally. And ... still the blackbirds sing so consistently in the garden throughout the day that it seems they should be on the pay-roll! The large restaurant over-looking that splendid garden area really has the look, and the food and service is very good too. As is the welcoming attitude of the staff.

Good hotel, and would be better if the outside check-in kiosk would work. It didn’t, and not just for me but for multiple people. It’s an issue if you want to check in late. Another improvement would be if I could charge my EV in the garage. But staff is very friendly, breakfast is very good, bathroom is clean. TV is not very user friendly, with dozens of channels that are not available but you have to page through.

Dalle foto immaginavo una cosa migliore. Appena entrata in stanza e messo a posto il piumone, ho visto che la federa aveva un buco ( abbastanza evidente ). Poi se c’è un porta salviette ci dovrebbero essere. Invece c’era la scatola vuota. La struttura si è salvata con la colazione. Buona, abbondante e con la possibilità di richieste.

Außer dass die Sauberkeit des Zimmers (Seifen und Zahnpastareste im Waschbecken, Wollmäuse unter Betten und Sofa, o.ä.) zu Wünschen übrig ließ, war das Zimmer ansprechend und gemütlich. Auch der Balkon des Zimmers war ein angenehmes Extra Bonbon...

Habe eine Nacht hier verbracht. Zimmer auf dem ersten Blick modern und sauber, auf dem zweiten staubig, Flecken an den Vorhängen, Fernseher ohne Empfang, Zimmer im Erdgeschoss Recht dunkel. Frühstück war Gut und ausreichend.

Für den Preis war die Übernachtung ok. Das Zimmer war groß, leider gab es ein paar Mängel (das Waschbecken war verstopft, eine Bettlampe war abgebrochen, es lag z. T.dicker Staub auf den Möbeln) War das Gebäude früher ein Altenheim? Oder bekamen wir ein Behindertenzimmer? Das Waschbecken war sehr niedrig. Das Frühstück war gut.
