Wireless internet available throughout the house. Air conditioning throughout the house. Washer and dryer on site as well. At night, a fire pit creates the perfect setting for outdoor relaxation. (Firewood provided by hosts) Large wooden swing in yard by creek to enjoy the wildlife and evening sunsets. Spend your days fishing, swimming kayaking, or simply lounging by the water. You can easily take a day trip to Gettysburg, Baltimore, Washington, DC and Hershey Park. If you need anything, owners are conveniently located next door to the property. Our bedroom was on the side by the river and we slept with the windows open so we could hear the water. Nice outdoor area with firepit as well. The house is an old farmhouse so has creaky floor and sticky door vibes which adds to the charm. Would have been nice to know that the owners residence is literally next door, really across the driveway since they live in the garage on the property. It was fine but a little surprising that it was so close (and not shown on the pics). Also, there is a train track very close which is very active. If you are hoping for a long night of rest be prepared to hear the train a few times a night.The house is located on a quiet back road so it was easy to take a walk down the road. It was four adults and one child. We made use of the property by grilling sitting by the fire pit and we also took a run down the creek on inner tubes. The host and hostess are very accommodating. One caveat would be the water pressure is a little low. That just may be the case being that odds are the water is sourced from a well. The other is the freight trains that go by. I want to say they go by sometime between seven and 10 times in a 24 hour period. Everyone had their own comfy bed and had enough bathrooms to keep everyone happy. Good setting for vegging inside or out. It's an old house, but still fit the bill! If you need multiple outlets at your bedside in the one BR, bring your own multi-outlet extension cord. Owner does provide a single-outlet extension cord. I would come here again. ##### Debra W. The house itself was in excellent condition, clean, and well-maintained. The snowy setting on the Yellow Breeches Creek was truly picturesque and peaceful – the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. Despite the serene location, we were only a short drive away from the vibrant restaurant and bar scene in Carlisle, offering the best of both worlds.
