This spacious log cabin is nestled amongst soaring trees, perfect for connecting with nature and allowing you to feel totally immersed in the wilderness! Enjoy the sounds of nature as you soak in the HOT TUB big enough for the whole family! You can even hear the running water from the creek to the left of the driveway as you swing on the porch! Skip’s Bearly Rustic Cabin is located in a cove surrounded by lush towering trees that make you feel peace and serenity as you are one with nature! Have your morning cup of coffee on the deck swing as you hear all of nature’s sounds. The cabin is beautifully decorated and the main floor has the master bedroom overlooking the porch and beautiful trees and the bathroom features a double shower head! The kitchen is modern and equipped with everything you need to cook meals at home including gourmet knife set, spice rack, coffee included (Keurig pods and also drip coffee). The coffee table in living room doubles as a Fusball Table which kids love! There’s also games in the game cabinet such as checkers, chess, Monopoly, backgammon, Connect 4, Mancala, puzzles, Legos, coloring books, and so much more to keep the kids busy for hours! The GAME ROOM down in the basement is AWESOME too for kids, teens and also us adults! The game room features a 2-in1 AIR HOCKEY/ PING PONG TABLE as well as a basketball arcade game and a dartboard! There’s a sleeper sofa and also a futon in the game room to sleep 2-3 teens! In the living room, the couch and recliner is so plush and comfy you may not want to get out, making you surrender and just relax in front of the crackling fireplace Upstairs are two bedrooms that share a bathroom with a tub. One bedroom has a comfy queen bed and also a plush chair that opens up to a small bed perfect for a child or toddler. There is also room for a twin air mattress in the Queen bedroom to sleep an extra person. The 3rd bedroom has a trundle bed with two twin beds and also a comfy gaming chair that opens up to a small bed for an extra child or toddler. There’s also a play tent in this room to keep little ones entertained and happy! The master bedroom has a very nice King mattress with luxury sheets and ambient lighting as well with salt rock lamps! We were surprised to see a deck under construction when we arrived. There were building materials left out, including nails on the ground. It would have been helpful to know beforehand as we had our 3 small children with us. When we first arrived, the water was not working. I messaged the host and got a quick response and she sent a neighbor over who was able to find the problem and fix it quickly. We noticed the water backing up in the shower and toilets if two or more people shower back to back. The basement (where the daybed is) was too cold for anyone to sleep down there at night. It’s controlled by the same thermostat as the main floor, but we couldn’t get it warm enough without it being too hot on the main floor. Turns out it was for the best, since we found mouse poop in the sheets later. The hot tub was nice, but beware of screws sticking up on the deck/back porch! Overall we had a good time, but probably won’t book this house again. ##### Tiffany P. The beds are very comfy. My favorite part is the porch and just sitting outside. My two young adult daughters and grandson loved the game room. Great laundry access too. There were no surprises. Very reasonably priced for a 3 bedroom cabin. Loved the hot tub. Comfortable master bedroom & en-suite on main floor. The cabin is wonderful. Everything we needed for a week. Blairesville is very close for groceries, and all the other towns we wanted to visit are within an hour. Brasstown Bald is a must, such beautiful views! The beds were very comfortable, the house is very clean, with plenty of room to spread out. We stayed here while hiking the AT nearby. Great location close to Vogel state park and lots of hikes. Blairsville is about 20 min away has a good selection of restaurants and grocery. The cabin was cute and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of hiking. There seemed to be an issue with water pressure, but we alerted our host and she was very apologetic. I’m assuming that is a temporary problem. Communication w/host was top notch. She even offered suggestions for things to do. We did have a few hiccups during the stay. The picture of the place is spot on but, the drive up to the home was a little tough with my SUV (gravel drive at a steep grade) and spun the tires each time we wanted to go to the front door so a regular car might have an issue without four wheel drive. There are two ways to enter the driveway, one is steep(30 degrees) and the other is 25 degrees but at least you have a running start to go up the latter, just be careful of the rocks on both sides of the driveway (needs to be wider). The hot tub was a nice place to relax after a day of hiking to soothe achy muscles but it did block access to the picnic table and grill on the porch which required slight acrobatics to maneuver around. All in all, a great vacation to get away from it all. Other issues were discussed with the host and those things will hopefully be addressed for future renters. ##### Dean H. My wife, four boys and our dog all enjoyed the property. The boys loved exploring the woods and creek right on the property. They found countless salamanders and craw fish. We enjoyed nightly fires in the fire pit and even cooked a meal on the crate provided. The hot tub was relaxing, the games in the basement/garage were all a hit. Highly recommend for a family getaway! The host is very responsive to any questions you may have as well! ##### Michael F. We had a great time with our daughter and her friend who thoroughly enjoyed the game room and hot tub. The cabin had all of the amenities we needed. I recommend making sure your arrival time is during sunlight hours as the winding roads can be tough to navigate. Town is about a 20 minute drive and arriving in the evening with a car full meant another drive out for groceries, so I suggest making your grocery run prior to arrival or try to arrive during daylight hours. I would definitely recommend this cabin stay to friends and family! ##### Jennifer T. What a wonderful getaway this was for us and right at Christmas time! We love the location of the cabin….Vogel State Park and Helton Creek Falls are in short driving distance. The property was very clean and we love the set up of the cabin. Communication with property manager was very seamless and she does a phenomenal job! As far as the cabin goes we absolutely loved the “bear decor”, especially enjoyed the game room and ended our nights in the hot tub. We rented this cabin to attend a wedding at a venue just down the road. It was clean and had much to entertain the family. My kids are teens/young adults but they enjoyed the game room.
