It has its own enclosed and secure outside space, with seating areas ideal for relaxing, eating and enjoying the sunshine at the front and a further grassy seating area at the back. On the ground floor the property consists of a dining kitchen area A double bedroom and a bathroom with bath and overhead shower and WC. Also on the ground floor is living room with a wood burning stove. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, one with a king size bed and one with 2 single beds. Both bedrooms have access to a joint balcony area with outside seating where you can enjoy the sunshine or even sit and gaze at the stars. Both bedrooms have a television with Freeview. WiFi and a selection of books and games are available. First firewood provided with further to purchase on site or from local shops. Dogs are very welcome - and we are more than happy to dog sit if required. The historic village is one of the most northerly in England. Situated on the south bank of the magnificent River Tweed, steeped in history, it is a magnificent place to live or visit. The village boasts 1 pub, a fantastic butcher (renowned in the area), bakers (also very good), as well as a local shop/newsagents (which is very well stocked). The area is surrounded by countless walking and cycling routes including The St Cuthberts Way. The cottage is an ideal base to explore Northumberland’s many fabulous castles dotted along the coast and up into the Scottish Borders where there are many stately homes to visit.
