The Tempus at Charlton Hall Estate
8/10 Good
"Enjoyed our stay but some of the reception staff looked so unhappy. A smile would have gone a long way The meals we had in the restaurant were fine and staff there had a bit of oomph!"
The Queens Head Hotel Self Check In
8/10 Good
"The rooms are nice, clean, and well kept. It is a little disappointing that the bar and restaurant are now closed and there is no longer a cooked breakfast option available."
Purdy Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Very good room and no road noise despite being beside the A1. The food was good both the evening meal and especially the breakfast . The staff were very friendly and efficient"
The Bamburgh Castle Inn - The Inn Collection Group
8/10 Good
"Great location with lovely views over the harbour. Full of character. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Our room was in the Annex on the back, but it was very comfortable with a huge queen size bed. The bathroom was ok with a modest cubicle shower, but larger people may struggle with the size. We were lucky to arrive mid day and parked at the hotel. There are limited spaces and you may need to park elsewhere and pay. In high season this could be difficult and Seahouses is small and gets packed. The bar menu was good, but restricted and what we did eat was very tasty. Breakfast was more than adequate with a good selection, but the food a bit hit and miss for freshness. You can however, order options from the menu. The hotel is a great base for the walk to Bamburgh Castle (3 miles along the beach or along the coast path if the tide turns). The walk to the boats for the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne takes two minutes. A very popular hotel and bar for dog walkers, of which there were many! Would we stay again? Yes!"
The Lindisfarne Inn - The Inn Collection Group

"It was a fine hotel for the night, but a little overprices for what it was."
Schloss Roxburghe Golf Resort, Part of Hyatt
8/10 Good
"Beautiful grounds, great golf and spa. Whisky bar is fabulous, restaurants very good. Staff were really nice and helpful, our Estate room was great. All in all a fabulous weekend."
The Black Bull Inn
10/10 Excellent
"We have just stayed here for 4 nights and would highly recommend. The room was very clean and had everything we needed .Even though we were on the ground floor at the back we did not experience any noise from the bar or restaurant. In fact the only noise we heard was the cars on the gravel in the car park. The food was excellent there was so much choice for breakfast. The evening menu was amazing all locally sourced food. We tried several dishes and all of them were so tasty and the portions were just right. This place is a little gem in a lovely quiet village. If you are visiting this part of the country stay here you won’t be disappointed!"
Marshall Meadows Manor House
10/10 Excellent

Stable Cottage - spacious one level cottage with private courtyard.
10/10 Excellent
"Cottage was easy to find and the grounds are beautiful, it was really clean and the kitchen has everything you need if you are eating in. It is very spacious and comfortable. Staff attending to the horse and ponies were friendly and 2 beautiful friendly dogs. Liz was away when we got there but kept in touch via text. Would definitely stay again if in the area."
