Liz was a fantastic host and answered all of our questions promptly. The cottage was comfortable and cozy, and everything was as described in the listing. The setting is peaceful, surrounded by pastures full of sheep and beautiful gardens. Property exactly as advertised with lovely small garden area and small field amongst trees out the back, with deer spotted one morning. Property very warm, and within about 30-40 minutes drive of nearby Northumberland and Scottish Border places of interest to visit. Property only 2 miles over the Border from England. Welcome pack of biscuits, cakes and honey a nice touch and a pint of milk in the fridge. Tea, sugar and coffee pods available also if required. The fence is painted with tar so it smells not good if you sit outside. Inside theres a lot of room freshener which you have to love otherwise its uncomfortable. The WLAN was very good. Its a little bit old fashioned but clean and working. We felt a little bit disturbed by the loud lawn tractor that provided bad air when we were having breakfast on the terrace.
