Berger Vacation Packages

Broken drywall on bathroom floor, old candy bar wrapper in nightstand drawer. Left an item behind and no one would call back. Asked for a cab was told it takes 5 minutes, oh no I was late for an extremely important appointment.

Our two night stay was excellent. The room was extremely quiet and clean. The hotel was the old Shell petrolleum headquarters back in the day so the building has cool architecture. The air conditioner is central heat/cooling and not the typical window units that always seem to rattle. Our windows were curved glass and provided a stunning view of the 1868 church outside our window. We walked to Busch stadium for a game, 15 minute walk. There were some homeless people around the area but we were not bothered. We were able to park across the street and paid $2 per hour (2 hours max at a time) and just renewed it when the two hours ran out. The time only runs from 8am to 7pm and sunday's are free. We would differently start there again.

The color thing is interesting, but I would have appreciated more attention to some basics. For example, when I went to turn the TV off, it turned out there were no batteries in the remote control. There were no instructions on the phone that explained how to reach the front desk. There were no USB outlets to I had to find a store that sold AC adapters so I could charge my devices. Also a 4 PM check-in seems really late and I'm convinced that made me wait 20 minutes for no reason. Beyond that, it's cute and comfortable and lots of art to explore.

The hotel is in a good location if you are going to Busch stadium and nearby restaurants. The breakfast was ok. I wished there were more options for food but waffles are always good. The hot water in the room wasn't as hot as we like it but we made it work. The front desk staff and valet gentlemen were great. However, one person on valet service didn't work very well when people were checking in and out. At least 2 are needed.
