The replacement room was old and it smelt of smoke on the way. You could tell it wasn’t a usual reservation room because it was out of the way, a little mouldy and the shower didn’t work. The Presidential Beijing is a traditional hotel near the subway. In a hood neighborhood. Although we had some language barriers, the staff made every effort to be helpful and accommodating. The lobby is beautiful and we enjoyed cocktails there each evening! Our room with a king size bed was very large and well furnished. The bathroom is slightly dated and needed some refreshing but it was clean and well supplied. Our only challenge was that the AC had not yet been turned on for the season. Upon request we were provided a fan which saved the day - and out sleep. Overall, this hotel is beautiful and very reasonable for such great accomodations in a wonderful city.
