Very clean and welcoming with superb service from their staff (who speak English). The hotel is like a little museum to Chinese shadow art with so much information, examples and a library. The shadow art theme is all over the lobby, main area and in each room and are all done very well, the shadow puppet play was lovely and the staff very helpful and attentive. Rooms are a bit on the small side but this was more than clear when we made our booking so it was not an issue at all. The location is in the Hutong, but it is easily accessible and less than a 10 minute walk to the lakes or the subway station.
