"It did the job. I wanted a hotel with a water view. Our room was clean and you could consider it updated but for $1500 for 4 days seemed a bit steep for that type of hotel. It’s a great spot on the water but don’t expect fancy. The hotel is old and there are carpets in the hallways that stayed dirty. I don’t think it was a lack of employees doing their job though. All the employees were great hardworking people. Those carpets need to go. "

"Poor Service for Reception Manager TYLER– voco Sandpiper All-Inclusive Resort (IHG) My experience at voco Sandpiper All-Inclusive Resort was significantly impacted by a serious service failure at the reception level. At the time of check-in, I was explicitly approved by an assistant manager - Mckenzie- after Olivia completed the checkin process after 45min waiting time- that parking fees would be complimentary and therefore were not presented, signed, or authorized by me at any point. This was a clear agreement and formed part of my decision to proceed with the stay. Despite this, Reception Manager Kyle later at the checking out process, attempted to enforce parking charges that were never disclosed, acknowledged, or approved at check-in. More concerning was the lack of accountability and unwillingness to honor the commitment made by his own team. This reflects a breakdown in internal communication and a disregard for basic customer service standards. He didnt even try to deescalate the situation or checking the cameras for reassurance that his customers were RIGHT. Charging guests for services that were previously confirmed as complimentary—and without documented consent is unacceptable. It undermines trust and raises concerns about transparency in billing practices. As a Director of Customer Service for more than 10 years, I strongly urge management to review this incident, ensure proper staff alignment, and honor all commitments made to guests at check-in. "

"The room was clean, the bed was the worst I have ever had it felt like it was stuffed with straw. There were 3 overhead light out in the room and one of the shower heads didnt work. The front desk has very short hours and the automatic coffee maker in the lobby brews hot black flavorless water. Good location but i would consider improving on the amenties available."

"First of all, the pictures shown are not updated, the hotel says and shows a common area with tables and TV...that is non existent, it was removed after COVID. If you want this hotel bevause of the direct access to the beacj dont book it, the access is closed...there is no beach walking distance from the hotel. Because there is erosion...no sand at the beach and the city is doing some renovations until May. When I called the hotel before my due date to cancel to ask for chair and access to the beach nobody told me it was closed. The TV in oir room was not working, they said the internet connection in that room gives trouble, so we could not watch TV. The last night of our stay we noticed thatnthe door of our room did not closed properly...you can open it just by pushing it. Cannot complain about the staff , they where really nice and the hotel was clean...a little rusty...needs some care but it was clean. I could not cancel because they still will charge me."
