"Ok here’s a real person review First of all the decorations and all the activities for the kids were awesome! So much free candy for the kids and we really appreciated the spirit. Decorated well and just a great appearance. The room was clean and very accommodating for 2 adults and 2 children. The water park was very fun for everyone. The staff in the water park looked soldierish at time with the head tilting back and forth on the checks but I can appreciate the thorough watching of the kids. Water park. My only area of complaint would be the main restaurant and bar. They need help they are understaffed and it took significant time for food on multiple occasions. No one’s fault just needed more help But still giving 5 stars"

"We had a lovely time at this house, but we felt it was priced a bit too high given the advanced age of the property. It was a very cozy spot and a convenient home base for a few families with young kids visiting Lake George.The swimming pool in the backyard was wonderful. Only issue was that the host initially had the heater locked down to only run 12 hours a day. While they did come over quickly when we called and adjusted it so it would run 24/7, it then still took until our 3rd day for the pool to get over 80 degrees. Playground was great — kids had a blast, lots of fun stuff to climb on. Could’ve done without the big koi pond next to it drawing all the mosquitos.While there were plenty of bedrooms for a large group like ours, it’s an old house and has a bit of a wacky labyrinthine layout. The bedroom I stayed in had very creaky floors and a lumpy mattress that needed replacing a long time ago. No fans in the two separate bathrooms I tried showering in made it kind of humid. Minor complaints that I guess are par for the course for an old house, but I generally was a little too uncomfortable this weekend for how much we were paying."

"I have to admit that I was a bit leery about renting this property for multiple reasons:1. It was pricey.2. It only had 1 review (at the time we booked).3. It was managed by a company and I couldn’t contact the owner directly until the day of check-in.However, the overall experience ended up being a success! This large home is set in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It has spacious bedrooms and living areas. The master bedroom is located on the first floor. Above that is the other king bedroom and a queen bedroom. In the opposite corner of the house is the bedroom with the bunkbeds and the other queen bedroom. There are plenty of bathrooms and everything in the kitchen needed to make meals (except for anything you would find in a refrigerator, which was empty). There was plenty of ice and filtered water in the fridge. The host gave me her phone number and contacts for alternates on the day of arrival in the case there were any problems or questions, but there weren’t! The house is located within 10-15 minutes of anything you could need- 6 mini golf courses, a Walmart, a Target, multiple grocery stores, plenty of restaurants (both chain and local eateries), ice cream shops, The Great Escape, and of course Lake George. We had a great time exploring the area and there was so much to do and see that 5 nights really weren’t enough for our 2 families- with kids aged 5 and 8- to take advantage of everything there was to offer!"

"Had everything we needed in the kitchen, as well as excellent location, easy parking, laundry, and great set-up in the common space for spending time together as a family (two adults and two almost adult kids). We walked just about everywhere, and the code entry was very convenient because there was no dealing with keys when we went our separate ways. Beds were comfortable (master BR mattress was very firm—just FYI for folks who don’t like that) and AC worked fine. Lots of nice little touches and (snacks and bathrobe, for example) and very easy check-in and check-out. Highly recommend!"
